From the feedback on mmorpg.com, and I must agree, for someone that does not already know the details of SoR and the ring, it is hard to tell what the trailer is promoting.

A trailer that shows more of the development of a scenario would be helpful. Even with text overlays announcing functionality type things.

A GMing a scenario view would be awesome too, maybe it is Picture in Picture showing the GM view in the main screen, and a subscreen of the players plaing it, or vice versa.

Someone with no experience or previous knowledge just deosn't get it, and doesn't get excited as a result.

I dunno man... It's compeling enough without adding geeky stuff in there to make folks that are truly interested look further which I believe is it's intent.

If it was the "how to" video, only those interested might see it thru. Watching it, you get glimpses of how it's put together... making you want to check more into this "ring" thing.

Hokai, I've only just re-appeared recently, but hopefully you won't mind me commenting

My first impression was exactly the same as Noin's - I know some info about Ryzom Ring from keeping up with the forums, and played the hell out of Ryzom during OB and release The movie definitely had a 'designed for Ryzom player' feel about it - maybe that was the intention, I'm not sure. The movie was good, don't get me wrong - nods to the guys for making it But it hardly featured any Ring content, and just Ryzom ingame stuff - a brief glimpse of green arrows on the floor was about all

If the movies are intended to sell R2 to new players (and I think it would be a crying shame not to), we should be watching 2 minutes solid of menus, big green arrows everywhere with "text and stuff", and attractive Matis ladies. I mean Outposts, ahem.

It's currently not so much teasing, but slightly confusing lol.
