I think you've hit on something... and maybe this will happen naturally as people loosen up a little and are less inclined to take the war declarations personally. One thing I really like about this solution is that it is entirely in the players' hands to implement it - meaning the devs could possibly spend their time working on things like spires and the ring.. and then someday they might get around to the rites, taming skill branch, cosmetic skill branch (no joke, they promised us this one over a year ago!) the guild challenges and maybe even more new pve stuff!bgraz wrote:The new and improved Bgraz has an OP suggestion...OP battles everyday
come on people they are fun and well mabey everyday would be impractical cuz there wouldn't be time for grinding levels, but they are like 2 hour long events. Instead of getting all emotional over attacks and such..let be what they are..a GvG event with the side with the most OL freinds being the winner. If there was a battle evry day..or everyother day i know i would be there if i can be OL and so would many other homins..untill they just became another thing IG..then OP could be fairly battled over by 2 guilds..because everyone would be bored of fighting over them cuz they go on everyday
see where i'm going with this
the battles are so rare that everyone who can participates. If they are common then it would end up being smaller more balanced groups battling it out for fun and reward. OP's would change hands more often, there would be less XP crystals in circulatuion cuz of drill downtime and the system would start to work the way its supposed to...a GvG event with a limited number of others getting involved
If there was a battle or 2..or even 3 going on everyday, would anyone realisticaly participate in all of them all the time? I would say that for 99% of homins the answer is no..it would take too much away from the rest of the game at that point
so who thinks this isthe solution to the imbalance?..lets all crack a beer, pour a glass of whiskey, roll up a smoke, or whatever anyone does to take the edge off and start fighting over these things till it gets old..then mabey it can be a fair balanced battle where the best guild wins and everyone enjoys the system
OOC: Tho I like the idea, the current interface would make this impractical. If a new interface existed where BOTH guilds had to agree on a date and time/numbers per side etc... it may be worth trying out. Almost like a league where the winner holds the ground and in turn must defend it when the next kid on the block wants to try them... A required defend time and other measures would have to be employed to prevent exploits but I think it could be done and would be a good thing.varelse wrote:I think you've hit on something... and maybe this will happen naturally as people loosen up a little and are less inclined to take the war declarations personally.
Thank you! Exactly my point - constructive post.sprite wrote:Tiny little offtopic again...Enjoy![]()

I agree it's a good idea but kind of unworkable in the current set up. DT has a good suggestion there but the league would only work if OPs were GvG as they were intended and no-one else could take part.vguerin wrote:Tho I like the idea, the current interface would make this impractical. Guild with 2x the numbers comes along and stomps and guild half their size and owns what they want. I can hear the forum thread after that romping.
"Outposts are all about numbers the only reason you won is that you had a 2:1 advantage. The rich just get richer... The big guilds get bigger, and the little guilds can't compete."
Sounds like the same old story.
Noin.
would/will go away once more OP's are introduced (if Guilds are limited to only "x" amount) they wont be competing once they have theirs , idealy there should be alot more lower lvl OP's where the newer Guilds could test their mettle against each other and not confront the larger Guilds"Outposts are all about numbers the only reason you won is that you had a 2:1 advantage.
