I think the end is nigh :(

If this game isn't fixed real soon I think many of my guild will be following our leader off somewhere else. We just can't face another night like last night. What happened? Let me tell you a tale of woe :

I was happily minding my own business on one of my favourite extraction spots. There was a light spring breeze and raspals munching contentedly nearby, occasionally a distant chorus of kipee. Fully focused on a nice vein of sap I'd tapped into, I was daydreaming and "afk" on and off.

Then, from nowhere, came a vicious and deadly assault. I shook myself awake with a rattle, quickly targetted my assailant and tried to cast. Resisted! And again! Threw my best "apoklyps" at him and it just fizzled. His own exertions were doing more harm than I was! My teammate next to me joined in and tried to help, but I was already down, listening to the music. Then I realised that there was a whole gang, and the rest of my team was still unaware and defenseless. So I hit the respawn button and watched the loading screen for an age, exasperated.

Pop! Finally I was back and hit the self heal up to max. Teamchat told a tale of terrifying slaughter, full of screams, "wtf happened?" and "HEAL!" They had all hit the respawn too and in a few seconds we were gathered, dazed and confused. I began to say that we should think of posting guards in case this happened again, when I heard a grunt of exertion just before the blade bit deep once more. Rooted, I turned to target and tried to cast in vain, and the horror stole slowly over me. The cruel band were going to camp on our spawn and there was nothing we could do about it.

We edited stanzas trying to find a way to strike back, cursed each other for not training heal, and moaned about how we had always talked about doing a trip to get some more spawns. Time after time, hour after hour, night turned to day and still we respawned only to be cut down without mercy. We even gave them some quarter which they took with yelps of glee, but their only interest was in visiting endless misery upon me and my comrades. When finally the nightmare was over, most of my team had turned their bots on.

Please Nevrax, fix this game and allow us to respawn in safer locations when we've obviously lost control of an area. Or give us a PvP tag that the more aggressive or high level amongst us can turn off when they want some "fun". Or soon I'll be spreading my spores somewhere else. Wastelands, if they'll let me in.

Yeah! n00b. At least you get a sensible self-heal timer.

I remember cycles and cycles ago, when noone knew where I was, seasons and years would pass in peaceful reverie and I would happily pop little bubbling spots up when I thought there was noone to notice *sigh* :)

Now every day I am utterly exhausted. I don't bother with a calendar anymore, I know when the season is going to change because people show up, start trampling about, and I get really busy going "Not in this season, mate!", "Come back later!", "Can't you see the weather's all wrong, ffs?!" Then, hooray! my self-heal is back and I feel full again. For a few brief minutes! Maybe an hour in a good year. Sometimes the air turns blue for awhile and then I am exhausted once more and silence descends, with the prospect of days and days of exhaustion ahead.

I wish I could change my spawn too, it would be really refreshing to roam around a little and see other places :D I never been to the lakes or the jungle although I have family all over the world.

Hey, we at least you have magic to defend yourself, we yubos oly have or buts to throw into the faces of those who continually hunt us near extinction.
I´m only happy that we do procreate like.. well... yubos.
Or our race would be doomed. Doomed I say!
And those damn DP, you try and go to noob Isle and kill one of those soft ones there. Sometimes we win, but more often these buggers got wapons.
I mean, we´ve only got our asses, for chrissake...

Tell me about it! Some players are lovely I have to say, but some can take things a bit too far after the stinga rum :rolleyes:
