Greetings homins,
Due to my own foolishness I have encountered a dilema. First off i'll provide a little history:
One of the last things I did with my char before I left Ryzom in Nov '04 was to participate in Comitatus Praetorian's first(maybe 2nd) run to Fairhaven from the Zorai lands. To make a long story short, we made it and I got my Fairhaven ticket before heading back to Zora.
Fast forward to yesterday:
I'm wandering around re-exploring the Zorai lands and decided to see if you still have to sneak past some kirosta's to get into the PRs. Well, as I'm sure you all know, you can just walk right in these days apparently. After a short jaunt into the PRs I decided i'd rather port back than run(I couldn't harvest anything due to an apparent bug with my skills since i've been gone so long, gm said he'd tell the devs). I opened my inventory and clicked on the ticket, not really thinking that Fairhaven didn't sound very Zorai... Course, that was the only ticket in my inventory and I was rather surprised to be staring at the beach...
So, I've got a few questions as a result:
Is it feasable for me to make the run back on my own? I was always pretty good at avoiding aggro but I don't know how much things have changed on that route.
If not, is it possible for someone to sell me a ticket to the Zorai lands? My char is still at the Kami's just outside of Fairhaven. I only have 6k'ish dappers atm.
For whatever reason, when I click on the alter it does not give me an option to purchase another Fairhaven ticket... /shrug
Thanks in advance for any help,
Havok

Re: *sheepish grin*
You might be able to if you're very lucky. If you die along the way, you can just respawn to the next portal, then to die again and respawn to Zora or wherever. I'm not sure as I just logged out and can't check the map. You'll just have to study your map to see where the respawn points are.kovah wrote: Is it feasable for me to make the run back on my own? There are probably people willing to set up a trek to help you get places, if you don't want death penalty.
Tickets are not transferrable.kovah wrote: If not, is it possible for someone to sell me a ticket to the Zorai lands? My char is still at the Kami's just outside of Fairhaven. I only have 6k'ish dappers atm.
You'll have to open your fame window and declare neutral cult allegiance and/or work your fame up to 30 with Karavan or Kami and do the appropriate allegiance rite, before you can buy tickets.kovah wrote: For whatever reason, when I click on the alter it does not give me an option to purchase another Fairhaven ticket... /shrug

I might try it, got nothing better to do till they fix my harvesting.katriell wrote:You might be able to if you're very lucky. I was afraid of that.Tickets are not transferrable.
I noticed that neutral button. Something else that is new to me, is that permanent? What does it mean? Prolly a post around here about it that I can dig up.You'll have to open your fame window and declare neutral cult allegiance and/or work your fame up to 30 with Karavan or Kami and do the appropriate allegiance rite, before you can buy tickets.

And there it is, thanks.xenofur wrote:you might want to read up here: http://www.ryzom.com/?page=news&id=1489
Re: *sheepish grin*
Running from Fairhaven to Zorai is quite hard, especially Bounty Beaches, but the Trench of Trials is hard as well. If you already have the portals, you can always spawn at the next one if you die, although it will give a death penalty.
Another way would be asking if anybody would be making a trek, so you could join in and get to Zorai anyway...

I think this is the easiest thing by far... deathporting if you got all the portals will consume mere minutes and you can work off the DP fairly easily.sx4rlet wrote:If you already have the portals, you can always spawn at the next one if you die, although it will give a death penalty.
Even simpler if a buddy follows along and duels you to death when possible.
