guild descriptions
spriteh's post in this section is a good starting point to get a feal of what guilds are out there but quite a bit of the thread is just ppl commenting on changes that need to be made. here is a thread that hopefully will allow HO's/guild leaders to breifly describe their guild so that new players can make informed deccisions as to which guild woudl be right for them. plz only post guild descriptions.

Re: guild descriptions
gonna get the ball rolling
the Fluffy bunnies are a fyros based guild. From a roleplaying perspective we are neither kami nor karavan but have kami status so that members can go faction for gaining tp's. we are a non aggressive guild and will never pick fights but will help defend our freinds when in trouble.
we welcome any new player with a thirst for knowledge and willingness to help. we generally supply everything our members need where possible, which keeps our crafters nice and busy .
in breif:
mission statement: we aim to help all homins
minimum requirements: none (althugh lvl 25 in a skill woudl be usefull but we can help with that)
outposts: none yet
Alliance: guardian alliance
RP: as much or as little as you want.

Re: guild descriptions
Might be helpful also if guilds note how much they RP, in a more detailed way than the RP stance which is on the List of Guilds. Such as, which channels are used for IC and how much, etc.
The Order of the Dragonblades:
http://dragonblades.roxr.com
We are declared neutral in both cult and race, but members can still be Kamist or Karavaneer in spirit. However, civility and racial/factional tolerance is expected of all members. We seek to aid all homins. Our outpost is Greenvale Trade Post, in Liberty Lake, the resources of which we share freely with any in need of them. Our enemy is the kitin.
The FAQ/Q&A on the Order's website is a good thing to read.
The Order of the Dragonblades:
http://dragonblades.roxr.com
We usually roleplay fairly heavily, with all channels in-character, though team chat is prone to wandering into OOC. In guild chat, members are encouraged to keep IC and OOC seperated with brackets, parentheses, or some other symbols. The Order of the Dragonblades is a Saga of Ryzom guild. It is based in Yrkanis (the capital of the Matis), but welcomes members of all races and creeds. The Order emphasizes role-playing, but not exclusively. The Order encourages skill with the blade, but also welcomes those skilled in magic, foraging, and crafting. Those who pass certain Tests are given increases in Rank and with these Dragonblades of increasing power. There are weekly events, including Dragonblades' Day Out on Sundays, Day for the Blade on Tuesdays (with a strong emphasis on training new members), and various events on Saturdays or other times. Events include melee tournaments, treks, missions, and other role-playing oriented events. There are often Quests in which members can earn Tokens of Bravery, which are required to advance to the higher Ranks. Members are given Elevation Crystals, jewelry, and armor to welcome them to the Order as well as other equipment as needed.

Re: guild descriptions
OmegaV - The end is only the beginning
http://www.omegav.org
Our guild is primarily Matisian, based in Yrkanis, though we also have several Tryker and Fyros members (a few Zorai manned our ranks, but they are inactive at this time). We are a very close knit group of homins who believe in standing strong in the face of adversity. Last year, we experienced the devastating loss of a guild member. Amberle, you are remembered always. Prior to that, the guild went through multiple guild leaders and we were involved in nasty cross-faction incident causing the community to question our motives. Rather than throwing in the towel, everybody pulled together even tighter, thus regaining our status as one of the foremost guilds on Atys.
While we are very much Karavan and enjoy a good fight, we are also well known for our generosity in and out of the guild and game. If I were to describe OmegaV in one word, that word would be "steadfast". From the early days of beta, OmegaV members have continued to challenge everybody to get the most out Ryzom life.
Historically, OmegaV was involved in several other games, but I like to think that our Ryzom chapter has been the most energetic, family oriented group of great people to date. We are exceedingly loyal to Jena, the Karavan, and most importantly our fellow members.
Common Activities (in no particular order):
1. Boss / Supreme Material Hunting
2. Trekking and Adventuring
3. Player vs. Player, Guild vs. Guild, and Faction vs. Faction Combat
4. Roleplaying - Most notably as servants of the goddess Jena and fervent supporters of the Karavan cause
5. Harvesting in remote regions and perfecting craft plans
6. Getting down and dirty for the daily grind
7. Just plain having a good time, whether it's running events, busting a gut on Ventrilo, or finding new and excrutiating ways to bring death penalty to previously unheard of levels

Eleytheria
Eleytheria
Eleytheria intends to leave its mark on Atys society and history for the betterment of all homins.
A bit about us
We have roughly equal proportions of Europeran and USA players and are a mixture of long time players (greater than 9 months), fathers and sons, gf/bf and friends. I would estimate the average age of the players as 32. Mostly we are a guild of harvesters and crafters but are also adept in fighting and magic. Although not against PvP, we don't generally participate as it doesn't really fit our character.
The guild is Pyr based and the majority of our members are Fyros; We are Kami/Neutral. We don't Role-play that much. There are over 20 active members (spend more than 24 hours playing a week).
http://eleytheria.serveftp.com
The Eleytheria charter
To us the most important thing is our charter and we use it as a guide for our life in Atys.
We take Eleytheria as our name and highest principle. Eleytheria is the word for Freedom from an ancient language. Freedom is our highest principle. With freedom, however, comes responsibility.
Members of Eleytheria are responsible for their own enjoyment and success in life on Atys. To be free, one must respect the freedom of others. Free people benefit from voluntary association with others. Cooperation and helping each other out for mutual benefit, is encouraged. Members are encouraged to take initiative in organizing guild activities. Every free-person should act as a leader to the extent of his/her abilities. In this way, we grow together. In keeping with our highest principle, every member is free to leave Eleytheria at any time. Eleytheria intends to leave its mark on Atys society and history for the betterment of all homins.
Recruitment
We generally recruit as needed as we like to give recruits the time, effort and training that will serve for their future in the game. As a result we recruit two to four newcomers at a time so they can team and the older recruits can help them.
Alliances
We are founder members of the Guardians, an alliance that includes the guilds Atys Paladins, Crescent Moon, Dragon order of Abylus, Eleytheria, Fluffy Bunnies and The Samsara.
