First Impressions

downloaded this on the free trial while i'm waiting for another mmorpg to hit it's release date.

my first impression was "bloody hell, those graphics are immense". i logged in just before and there was snow on the ground/trees that wasn't the last time i logged in and all the npcs were standing around shivering - brilliant!!

there are a couple of things that let me down, however. first is the UI, which is awful (sorry). but i do see they are in the process of developing a new one.

the second thing is the collision boxes - boxes being the operative word. i keep on walking into invisible barriers when i'm a metre away from the nearest object, i can't climb over a tiny root on the ground or even jump onto a campfire (i know that's a silly thing to do anyway, but my point stands). and here is the clincher, i walked through some long grass (or tried to) and banged straight into it. come on, it's around 5mm thick - i don't care how much of it there is.

the learning curve of the game is a bit much but i'm starting to get to grips with it. the mechanics seem good, too. it's just so frustrating to keep walking into things that aren't there, argh!!!

Hang in there homin... at level 250 in any tree you can get your first seeing eye gingo and then you will not walk into things anymore

I want mine! Now I have even more reason to grind heal to 250!

LOL! Too funny! How about a seeing eye frippo -- it drags you around and steals your sap?

Or better yet, a seeing eye javing! It pulls you around and then steals the leash!
