Question about fame...

Hypothetically... killing karavans lowers karavan fame... and raises kami fame. I am of the opinion that I wish the higher powers want more out of their faithful than simple killing of the opposing faction and a good way of demonstrating such would be the -100 "super slow fame" scenario. Perhaps I'm old fashioned and weird but this worked wonders for my fame back in the day... take Kami missions from Kami TPs every time you port somewhere.

One. You always have something to achieve in the name of your religion and are constantly reaffirming your devotion to their side through said acts.

Two. If... in the killing guards scenario... you view it as "The Kami can only be as happy with you as the Karavan are displeased for killing their guards" ... on an act-by-act basis not by total #s of fame. Once you've killed so many karavan that they are totally abhorred by your existence (-100 fame) ... there's nothing left to prove... I feel this borders on the +Kami and no -Karavan scenario someone mentioned as a bug. I know when I was new and doing missions and fighting karavan loyalists for fame I got to 100 Kami significantly before -100 Karavan. Something to the tune of +100 / -97. And we all know how long it takes for those last 1, 2, or even 3 points.

So I guess my message is:
I hope that this is not a bug... I hope that devotion to a faith is truly a devotion and not something that can be flopped on hit's head in an hour or two of effort... because it's not faith then... it's just a #.

OOC: Since the problem appears to the weighting factor on mission fame due to your -100 Kami fame, suppose you work on raising your Kami fame at first, to well above -100, then work on your Karavan fame again, repeating as necessary. In that manner, you might be able to work your Karavan fame slowly up to 60. Not an ideal solution of course.

I don't believe Karavan fame is "blocked" once ya hit Kami -100. I've hit Kami -100 and been able to up a few points after for Karavan fame (but I did a combination of killin' Kami temple guards and Kara missions from TPs and it takes alot of time. ).

Also keep in mind the level of the zone where you get the fame gives better results. Try doing more missions in GoC/BB etc for Kara... and avoid the ones that pay dappers, that should show whether it's a bug or your just raising it so slowly it's negligible.

Heya.. it's about Kami/Karavan fame... example: my Kami fame is -100.. my Karavan fame is 41.. i think when ya hit -100 in one faction.. the other is blocked? im right? so... for me, what can i do if my Kami is -100 and Karavan 41... I'm PR digger... and can't buy PR ticket I tryed to tell GMs... they said they will ask the devs... well... I'm confused... if someone can help me... Thank you.

i don't know how is your tryker fame, but if you up your tryker fame, i think your kami will down a little and your kara will up again.
Maybe i'm wrong but i think it can work.

My Fyros/Tryker/Matis/Zorai fame is 50.. Kami is -100 and my Karavan fame is now 42 i think i'll work on missions :/

done!! after hard work on missions... 60 Karavan fame i can tell the peeps with probleme about fame... just do missions in each capitals.. (crafting, hunting..) and your fame will up my fame is now -100 Kami / 60 Karavan. it worked!!!
