Targeting Group Members

Post by rakali »

Is there anyway to set keys to target group members? I've tried setting them to my desired keys but they refuse to work (those being the F#keys, no alt, shft, ctrl added).

There are some basic game functions bound to the unmodified F-keys. So you may get in conflict with these funtions. I use CTRL-Numblock# to select team members.

you can do this by setting a macro:

Shift K

Create new macro

Category Action

Target teammate action

And then map it to a key..

I just created a self target macro and mapped to f8, works fine, but other F keys may be tricky

If I remember right F10 is a 'buildin' self target macro. As F12 targets no target.

I think there's a setting for this on the keymap, CTRL-(F1-F8), but it doesn't work there ... set up macros to do the same thing and don't worry about overriding them.

I remapped the standard stuff that uses the function keys, and either mapped or made macros to use F1-F8 to target my teammates.

My remap is the numpad by using macro's.
1~8 are my teammembers
9 is follow (talk in chat /follow)
0/Ins is action 1
./Del is action 2
+ is action 3
- is action 4
/ on the numpad is target current target's target
* on the numpad is target current target's target and run action 1

The last two are for sorcery mainly. Target tank, target his mob, BLAST! Also this allows for very fast healing, still should make shift-0, shift-. shift-+ and shift-- for the alternates (doubles). Check out the wiki in my sig below, should have some other mappings too.
