sashtan was born many years before the kitin swarming. she had a normal fyros childhood but never really payed atention in magic or mele lessons that her parens made her atend. her real passion was in the crafting of fine clothing and she secretly took lessons as a child. at the age of 17, however, something made her pay a little more attention in her mele classes. his name was Ka'yksn Ail and it wasnt't long before they fell in love and were married. kayaksn got a job as a town guard but very quickly was promoted for his almost super homin strenght and ability with an axe. rumors of strange creatures comming from the prime roots began to circulate and it was not long before Ka'yaksn was sent to scout out these rumours. ka'yaksn's first experiance with a kitin was a rather breif one and after some nifty axe work he was able to drag the unidentified carcus back to pyr for the schollars of the city to decide what it was. it was not long before more incidents of attacks by these creatures were reported and Kayaksn was dispatched to set up and maitain defenses around the cities of Fyros.
It promised to be a scorching hot day when Kayaksn Ail woke up. After a light breakfast he kissed his dear wife Sashtan and stepped onto the cool streets of Pyr. He strapped his axe and armour to his faithful Mektoub and left to command the troops on the border defences.
It was midday when they came. At first it seemed to be a sandstorm rising to the south but then came the unmistakeable roars of the Kitin elite. Attacks of late had been infrequent so troops had been moved elsewhere. The defenders stood no chance as Kayaksn great fyros axe glanced off the tough kitin exoskeletons. Kayaksn fell many times but was bright back to his feet by the able healers. But even they could not handle the swarm that engulfed them.
Kayaksn finally fell for the last time.
And then some thing strange happened. Instead of being reborn at the Kami alter as was expected a shaft of brilliant light seared through him and was never seen again.
the news reached sashtan fast that Ka'yksn had falen in battle and that, like few other warriors had failed to respawn. sashtan found it hard to beleive but ther was no time. the kitin were coming!
after many years of hiding from the kitin's sahstan survived and eventually word reached her that some homins wer gathering in camp's to aid the rebuildign of the once great empires and cvilizations that dominated atys before the kitin came. sashtan took what few belongings she had wiht her and set off.
sashtan still mourned her husband and the pain she felt was unbareable. and from the day that she entered the camp she swore revenge on kitin for taking her husband from her. she tried to remeber what little she had learnt and with this new found purpose she set abotu learning the skills she would need to deafeat her foe. years of hiding had made her weak but she learned and gained strenght fast. she met many homins all of whom were equally willing to learn and she made freinds with all she met.
One day sashtan will have her revenge and maybe when that day comes she can be free from pain and able to meet somone new. but untill that day sashtan looks up at the sky knowing Ka'yaksn is up there somewhere tryign to get back to her.
