I have just joined and although i have not gotten into the game yet, doing patch first, I have been very impressed by the screenshots.
I have come over from R.O.S.E on some very good advice from a couple of friends.

It is generally acknowledged that the starter Islands are a poor introduction to the game. At first I thought that there is not a lot to do, but as I got further into the game I found that there are not enough hours in a day. Like the real world things are rarely handed to you, few obvious goals, no lights above people heads.
Atys is a living world, the seasons change, herds migrate, if you have the patience you can watch a sapling grow into a full tree. There are many beautiful places to visit, creatures to learn about and many challenges.
