Press: Ryzom Won the Best Story Award on MMORPG.com!

Good news! The results were revealed: Ryzom won the [url=http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.cfm?loadFeature=388/page/6/"
target="_blank]Best Story[/url] award, yay! This was one of the most contested categories of the 2005 Reader's Choice Awards, but Ryzom came out firmly on top during the second round, with 31% of voices.

I think it is utterly amazing that a game with such a small subscription base (compared to the other nominees) could win Best Story so handily. IMHO the only way this could happen is if it is true.

And certainly the players support the storyline and enjoy being part of it, but this is only possible because Nevrax has put so much into it, with lore and events and contests and rites and pantomime and story-telling and everything else.

Congratulations Nevrax. Well deserved.

I had a good laugh over the winner in the best graphics category...my that game doesn't hold a candle to Ryzom's graphics (and many others). Not even close.

Go figure.
