Guilds & apartments

Hi there,
I'm new to Ryzom, and was wondering about a few things.
If somebody could direct me to a link that has info. regarding guilds (how they work etc) it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if I join a guild, do I still buy a normal apartment? Or is there a guild hall apartment I would use instead?
If there is a web link regarding apartments & storage, it would also be greatly appreciated.

The best thing would be to check the Guild forum ... but basically Guilds have their own chat, their own guildhall, their own name/symbol ... and their own goals .
The guild hall is available for everymember, everyone can walk in and drop stuff in it, but only leaders and High Officers can withdraw either dappers, mats or armors/weapons/jewelry.

Buying your own appartment is something different, it gives you extra personal storage space .

so basicly, you buy a homin appartment for yourself
and a Guildhall for all the memebers to dump and share stuff

Kiliane and Nookie pretty much covered it, I'd just add that the guild hall also has rooms where you can hang out, have guild meetings and such.

The most important part of being in a guild is Guild Chat; talking to like minded people that you enjoy being with.

People will tell you of the mechanics of a guild, the hall, officers and high officers. They will offer materials, weapons, elevation Crystals and various other goodies, but at the heart of it the reason you are playing a multi-player game is to interact with other people.

In choosing a guild, look for people that you like being with.

Beyond the social aspects it helps if there are some higher-level people that know the game and can train you and give advice.
