The Sirens need a site...

I’m looking into getting a site for the Sirens. We are a small guild but I think it would be nice to have one. I’m not sure as to how I can start a site and would appreciate any help. I don’t need anything fancy, but I want more than just a Forum. I like to be able to post news and have links to SoR etc. I also like some help with getting our Guild Symbol enlarge for a front page…any tips or help would be appreciated.

Have you heard of http://www.guildportal.com/. It's free if you don't mind a few adverts (plus a few other restrictions) and provides forums, a calendar, mail, news etc. A few Ryzom ones are on there: http://www.guildportal.com/Search.aspx?Game=41

I have helped to administer a guild-portal guild in the past, and my experience was always positive. There is just one thing though. To me, at first the ways of doing things seemed a little bit strange, and it did take just a little to get used to. Once I saw how things worked though it all made more sense and became much easier. Overall, once you are used to the "system" it's fairly easy to use.

That is really nice work Bluefve, I like the front page and the kami background on their site. It is similar to what I'm looking for. I've been referred to several guild portals and there is one that I liked very much, it seems very easy to use. I will send you an in game tell so that we can get started if you don’t mind helping me. I can’t even make a sig.

You can get free site hosting from Jolt. That's who hosts the World of Ryzom site. Send a ticket in game asking about it and someone should get back to you.

Lokire I keep missing you in game, our time zones must clash or your hiding from me!! Well, I decided to go with GP, I liked their set up and its very idiot-friendly (for a noob like me). I managed to start a site and have been working on it slowly. Take a look and click on the link below. I still would like your input and help. There are some things I'd like to be able to use that I don't know how to add to the site. Thanks all for the help. Please give some feedback.
