All the crafting guides I read presume that I took one of the crafting packs when I created my char, but I didn't! I choose "mig magic pack" so I can be a mage...
Is it possible for me to craft now? or do I need to make a new char?
Or is it possible to buy a crafting pack from somewhere?
I only started playing yesterday XD

hi 
you need to save 50SP* from any branch you are using (melee/magic/harvest), then goto the trainers and u will be able to get the crafting starter pack.
Something else to consider is that if u are going to craft then u should really learn to dig as well, getting all the materials from quartering mobs is not really practicle..
skill points, when u go up a level u get 10.
