Mount Derby Race

Greetings Homins, I am seeking candidates to form a committee that will help organize a Mount Derby Race. If you think you will be interested please send me an in game tell or post a msg. here stating your willing participation.

The Proposal:

Mount Derby Race is a simple concept, not far from a RL horse race, where each house will enter one Mount and one Rider to compete. A maximum of 5 mounts are allowed in each Starter Race. This is where the Breeders Cup points system kicks in. Mounts that finish first, second, or third in Starter Race earn points; for example, a winner of a Grade 1 race earns ten points, while a winner of a Grade 2 race earns six points. The number of points a mount earns in a Starter Race is critical to enter the Thoroughbred Championship Race (TCR). The seven positions in a TCR race are based on the point system. These seven get to run based on their Breeders Cup points.

The Races:

Starter Race - 5 mounts compete to earn points to qualify for the championship race. No Prizes are given during a Starter Race, only points are earned.

Thoroughbred Championship Race (TCR) - 7 mounts with enough points earned will qualify to compete for the grand Prizes. The amount of points needed to enter TCR will be determined by the number of houses competing.

Location: The event will take place inside the Matis Arena.

Time and Date: To be announce.

The committee will determine;

• The number of Laps for each race.
• The enter fee for the race.
• The grand prizes.
• Gambling.
• Race track obstacles.
• The Rules.
• Other ideas.

This event will be hosted by the Sirens and sponsors.

There are hardly any player events lately, which is such a shame. (And did anybody else notice that there are hardly any posts in the Saga Forums since episode 2?)

Have you consided having a world wide trek so people can get their mounts to matis?

because I have a mount in Tryker (Fair Haven Stable) and even though I would like to join in another mount race, I don't want to have to buy another one in Matis

I did give that some thought for the very reason you pointed out. I thought that by making it a 1 Mount entry per House (guild) it would make it easier if the need to buy a mount in Yrk is required. But I see how spending the dappers to buy one just to enter the race would be a waste if the house doesn’t win. I am open to your suggestion and would help if that is what we need to do. For that is why I would like a committee to help organize the event.

Sxarlet I seriously hope that player events are not dead. I think the reason for the lack of events is that there are no players making them. If the demand and response from the game community for this event is welcome in great numbers then we will have the Race.
