Talk about boring, harvesting is boring. The trip in and out at least makes things a little more exciting.

Not everyone finds harvesting boring. Some of us enjoy it, but we don't wanna have to spend the small amount of time we have to play every night trying to get 1 bag of mats.

I'm not fussed about the PR TPs, but i understand why others are.

Maybe that should be rephrased, "without a challenge things are boring". That is the whole point of this post imo, the challenge has gone, thus it becomes boring.

There is a huge thrill in popping a few sources 25m from aggro all round and digging, constantly watching the compass and changing your viewpoint to see which mob is going to eat you next but unless you've done that you probably wouldn't understand................

There was a concept in computer adventure games that became known as "time spent walking" and it involves the amount of time you have to spend to get to the fun parts. It is bad for the enjoyment of the game, and even if considered necessary for 'plot development' and 'storyline' by the game designer, is usually considered 'worthless padding' by the player. For a player without access to purple zones to level skills above 200, much time must be wasted, and as for digging in the PR, its an entire branch of the skill tree that is now very difficult to even start on.
The whole idea of punishing neutrals for their stance by denying them parts of the world is intensely irritating. The Faction people get extra stuff for being in that style of play, and still they want to make life harder for neutrals.

The Prime Roots have gotten a little easier to move around in but still isnt a walk in the park... Did you take into consideration that you have spent a lot of time down there and know the best ways to get around?

Just trying to say that that for someone who isnt familiar with a particular region it can be very deadly place..

First you take away Guardian Voraxes and "displace" half the kitin
Secondly you take away kinchers at the entrances
Thirdly you take away Kitin Patrols

Doh, just saw there is no more kitin patrols.
I only saw the kinchers at the entrance when i was trialing, but it looked sooo cool. The aggro density is what made this area so interresting. Now PR is loosing his identity and there is no more challenge walking there.
Naked US rally is no more funny, and the only thing harvesters are doing now is waiting for the weather to change.
There are more and more high level players, areas should get harder, not the contrary. Where's the fun now ?

I have been told that vorax and kinchers will be replaced by yubos and izams to make it a lot harder

hmm, sorry for being direct but wtf is going on?

this rubbish is destroying the pr. there is no excitement left, no challenge now. so much for the pr being special... it's not anymore.

maybe take out all the aggro mobs, and put in big signposts pointing out supreme mats? or move all mats to the portals so no-one has to bother actually going in.

this is the first time since i started playing that i am really saddened at whatever it is you are trying to make this game. The PR has been a special place - it's where the crazy ones went to test their skills and earn their dp. it's been constantly dumbed down over the months, cheers for ruining it totally now.

As Bijam pointed out you are making pr digging an utterly boring and depressing experience by continuing on this route, grrrr

The PR has not been dumbed down, they have just put them back to how they where when the game started. The Devs kept adding more aggro to slow us down and make it harder to get the good mats.

I think they did this so that the people that need to walk in (neutrals) have a better chance of getting to the mats that other can TP close to.

well i first went in the pr beginning of oct '04. in place then were guardians/patrols/150m aggro bosses etc and its all been removed now.. dunno what others were doing first 2 weeks game went live to cause that all to be added, i was still busy getting max xp on baby kips in CoI ;p (ahh fond memories of the uber blind1)
