Are the current owners of an op defending or attacking, during the defensive round?

Well, something is not clear to me:

When you enter an outpost zone which in a state of war, a message pops up asking you to pick a side (defenders, neutral, attackers). It is pretty clear which side you have to pick during the attack phase, but what about the defencive phase??

- You can choose defenders because you want to support the owners of the outpost, they are "defending" thier op no matter what round it is.
- You can choose attackers because you want to support the owners of the oupost because during the defensive round they are attacking the npc's of the other guild.

Both things are pretty logical assumptions, but I don't know which one to pick ...

Note: Maybe the text can be changed in order to make things more clear (like for example "owners side" "neutral" "attackers side"). This way there cannot be any doubt about which side you have to pick.

Yeah it is a bit confusing. Even better might be to say WHICH side you're joining.

In other words it gives the guild name of each side instead of attacker or defender.

The defenders are the people who own the outpost- the attackers are the people who are attacking the outpost.

Current owners are defenders. So during the attack round you are defending and during the defence round as well. That makes sence.

The confusing bit is that the other idea also makes sence.. During the defense round the defenders are attacking the attackers... so should be the attacking side.
