When I played the open betas, I was a Matis. On Matis Mainland, the community was very good. There was always people talking in Region chat and everyone was socializing, trading, selling, and helping eachother. Now when the game came out, I changed races and went to Fyros. However, when I got to Fyros Mainland, it is ironically, a desert. Not a lot people seem to be too existant or social. I can't seem to find a group anywhere to hunt with, and no one is really selling or making anything. It is pathetic.
Anyway, I was just wondering how the other mainlands are like right now. It seems a lot of people are Matis and Zorai, but i'm not sure. I might want to remake my character because the Fyros community is so dead and boring.
Fyros Mainland
Re: Fyros Mainland
They are all the same in terms of the quiet region chat. There are a lot of areas in the mainland and most players have spread out. They need to make region cover all areas in the mainlands.
Zorai region is almost totally dead, I can play for hours without a single person speaking. Fyros and Matis are a bit better.

Re: Fyros Mainland
What times are you playing? I was on this evening from 7pm est to about 9pm est. Seemed lively then.
Maybe it has to do with times played?

Re: Fyros Mainland
You should restart as a Matis. I find that there are always a lot of players on all times of the day or night. Also i think that you should join a guild. My guild is Out of Cavern. This way we help each other.

heh ... I can play for litereally minutes before becoming completly flooded with chat and tells ... Witherings is not the quiet community you make it out to be unless one wants it to be.
At this point in the game, regional will often be very quiet since most people who are in guilds speak predominantly in guild chat. Usually someone will pipe up to answer a question or trade, but that is about the extent of the uses for regional now.
Many people are using external chat clients also ... I imagine this is affecting the regional traffic. As a rule of thumb, pipe up if you need something; someone is out there.
Re: Fyros Mainland
Fyros players often chat at the stables of Pyr east gate - they just dont use region chat.
Thats the point in having for once a game with an "around" chat - to be able to speak to those in sight WITHOUT spamming the whole zone or using "tell" on 3 different players.
