"playing alone" is far fetched, but nevrax is in trouble, so driving ppl away (in both "sides") is not good.
peace was one of those compromises.
By no means do I want to disrespect anyone, but it appears everyone is crying out for everyone else to respect them, without realizing that it does in fact go both ways. Again, not to seem selfish, but if I don't want peace, I fail to see the compromise. In a game who's story entails a faction based war, fueled by FvF PvP elements (intentions were there in the beginning) you're going to turn people away who don't want to hear about how no one is catering the people who want this game to be something it's not. If you ask me nevrax's trouble isn't keeping the players ryzom isn't for, it's gaining players that this game would actually appeal to. It just appears it's taking too long for everyone to realize whether or not this game is for them, be it throwing in the towel because it's not for you, or people who would like the game not even knowing it exists.
Everyone knows Nevrax is a baby company that is spreading itself very thin to try to keep everyone happy and they're taking advantage. Not to say it's where I want to see Ryzom go, but Blizzard knew exactly what THEY wanted out of WoW, that's why many of you will want to flame me just for bringing WoW up, but others will leave this game to play it. It's the way it is, no ifs, ands, or buts about it, it's the way Blizzard wanted the game to be and so far it's turned out successful, because it's made a far clearer definition of who WoW is for, and who it's not.
