Doing Rites while we can and helping others

With the new fame system being introduce soon, I was thinking now would be a good time to get some of the opposing factions Rites done. With us only being able to get 25 fame in one apposing race and 0 in the other, this leaves us not able to do their Rites.

I was trying to get the Fyros Story 2 Rite done last night and realized I can't make Fyros MA of MQ or the 2H sword. I would really like to get the durability bonus from this Rite but lack the Fyros crafting plans. I'm looking for someone to help me finish this Rite. I have the required fame and skill but need someone to team with me and craft the appropriate items for the missions.

If anyone can help me please let me know, I'll be standing in Pry giving the mission giver a dirty look from about 4PM-8PM PST tonight.

next thing you would suggest for world trek to get those missing tp's so everybody can stack tickets to apartement

With the new system you could do all the rites - it would just take you longer to do and (in some cases) you might need to change citzenship etc.

No it isn't or else why would you be able to complete the rite by being teamed with someone and letting them craft? It's just one of the ways to complete rites and promotes team work.

I asked this to a GM several months ago when I relized this "rite by proxy" approach The GM asked Nevrax/The powers that be. The official answer is that this is a perfectly valid way to accomplish rites.

that's a RP choice. Some players that are deep into RP choose not to. Others don't even use racial spells other than their own.

The current rites only need around 35 fame with the races which will be still be possible for all non-citizens after the citizenship patch (capped at 50). So if you're going to choose a civilisation to join (remember, not talking about cult which will affect tp tickets) then yes, now is a good time to get them done.

I imagine there will be new rites that need >50 fame with a race one day, plus of course there are the citizenship/cult missions which will require messing about with fame if you want this content.

We tried this last week..it seems that this one was disabled ;(

And have any1 noticed new NPS at this outposts on desert? Hmm strange and interesting....

I completed that rite a few weeks ago for the same reason

Be aware there's a minor bug in it. After the tribe chief tells you to go the first outpost, the mission doesn't go to the next step when you enter that outpost. It didn't proceed for me until I'd sat at the outpost for about half an hour. For all the outposts after that the mission does immediatly go the next step when you enter the outpost.

I believe the NPC's you're referring to are the ones connected to that rite, Cir.

The rite works as intended, the only thing that you can call a bug is, that the tribe chief doesn't explain, that the trial starts at midnight (I'm not sure if its exactly midnight or 1am) and you have to complete it until dawn.

If you know this, you can plan for the trial.

Thanks to the people that helped and offered to help, I got the Rite done today.

Anyone know what will happen to the fame I have now when the new fame system gose live? I have over 50 fame in all 4 races.
