connection through proxy?

Anybody know if it's possible to connect to the game through a proxy-server that has just port 8080 open? There must be some kind of program i can run to force the game to use that port, just can't find it (if it realy does exist lol)

Opening ports is not an option, i'd have to hack into the server for that

I'm pretty sure that Ryzom has to have the UDP port open. And I know of no way to force it do use anything else given that's how it connects to the server.

There's no way you can ask to have the needed ports open for the game? (I'm assuming you're on a campus or the like and have no personal control over ther server)

i'm on a kind of campus indeed, think there's a way to connect through my own pc? like, i let my pc connect and somehow make it send the data to school through that port...

Sounds like a pretty simple program that just works kind of like a router, reroute it to the right port and IP
