I do not like the tact of these rangers, insulting greater powers that i'm sure ressurect them is not wise, nor is insulting greater powers that saved homin from extinction by the Great Swarm. If the actions of gathering materials for the temples has stirred the kitin in the old lands, then assaulting the kitin would only further enrage them, also is directs homin resources to fighting a Kitin foe that is in the old lands far from our current homes, perhaps fighting/eliminating kitin hives that can walked to from our capitals would be a better strategy, not aggrevating kitin far away while their local strength, which they could attack us with, is untouched.

I must agree with Aajolea, I am all for fighting the kitin, but can we trust these rangers? They have already insulted Jena on their first appearence who has done FAR more for us than they probably ever could!

Has anyone been partaking in this event?

I went to ATS this weekend to play with Outposts (zerg attacks for 12 rounds, first to land two hits wins, haven't gotten to play with rewards yet, can't interact with anything unless you're an high officer, no jacuzzi or bar for members (no door either!)) and haven't heard much going on with this event.

First night we had to ask GM's to ask the EM's what was going on 'cause no one knew. Having the announcement twice was certainly nice but we ran out there expecting to find an army but found nothing. Would of been better if the army was there, slowly growing and then the Rangers could have said something. Maybe they were afraid the Euro shift would figure it out and kill the double-black star boss and be done with it before the American shift logged on. :)

Anyway, if you're fighting and dying without me, send us news from the front!

A small group and I ventured out to Almati Woods after speaking with the Karavan Teleport Operator. The KTO warned us to be watchful of the growing kitin presence and warned us that the Kamist might wish to show hostility against us.

Upon arrival we found the Karavan camp largely abandoned, save a few teleport operators and the fenced in area greatly reduced. We discovered the Kami camp fell to a similar fate. We witnessed no other homins in our travel.

We did a survey along the borders of the area and did witness many a kitin. Some fell quickly and others proved very much a challenge. The supply of targets seemed endless. But as we travelled we found no evidence of a kitin nest or a breach in the surface. The kitins the Rangers warned us about were not to be found.

We returned to the regions we call home after we grew tired and our bags full of quarter. Confused we pondered the events we witnessed. A call to arms with no foe to defeat. Alamti Woods refuses to give up its plunder, the kitin refuse to yeild or show any more malus as we are accustomed. The kitin are as unwilling to commit to war as we seem to be. History has taught us to be watchful. The kitin song is filled with the screams of those who fell before them. They will attack... just a matter of when.

Again we ventured out into the Kitin infested lands. Again we did not see homin, kamist or a traces of the kitin the Rangers warned us of. The Karavan teleporter offers nothing new. The kitin ignore us, chuckling to themselves about the band of warriors chasing rumors. Maybe the kitin discovered their plot was made public and changed their plans. Almati Woods may simple be a decoy to bring Kamist and Karavaneers together just to see if they can once again work together.

I hope those rolling eyes are directed at Nevrax. Right now, they've made their "war" about as exciting as watching grandma knit a pot-holder. They need to work on building tension and excitement. Announcing an invasion and then sitting a week without change is not the way to do this.
