Goodbye From Navra

Post by navra »

My subscription will end in about a week and I do not intend to renew it. I will not bore you by repeating the reasons that many who have already left have pointed out.

Although most of my friends have left there are a few of you who are still in game and I would like to thank all of you for all the help and good times we have had.

It is unfortunate that I and many other 'veteran' players have found it necessary to leave what could have been the best MMORPG ever produced. I have investigated a number of other promising new games and will likely subscribe to one or more of them when they are released. In the meantime I have signed up for and am playing a few betas. Hopefully I will find some of you in the newer games. Until then I wish you all the best and nothing but happiness.

I won't say goodbye because it is my hope that I will be traveling along with you as we seek a new game to call home. But I still want to say thanks to you for all the fun here and for being such an incredible guild member and friend.

If you are seeking a new game then you will end up back here.

(I hope)

I keep tabs on all the new games and get into the betas that I can, and I can assure you that at this point in time Ryzom is the prettiest and most openended of the MMORPGs.

If you don't like open ended systems feel free to play WoW for a couple months, it'll take the edge off.

Good bye Navra, best of lucks in your new projects.

* waves *,

ps: to the person that rated this thread 1-star... well, I think any player has the right to post his quit message, and you are not doing any good to the game either. Systematically rating 1 to any post that goes against the game in any sense just makes other readers think there is a fanboi lurking around, ultimately making the rate system useless. Original poster did not use abusive, foul language and did not bash the game.

(sorry, this just shocked me)

Sorry to see you go my friend, but I'm also mindful of the fact that you won't be going far (we can't let you!!), and we'll keep in touch, and quite probably end up in the next game together.

Goodby Navra you will be missed. Always sad to lose veteran players. Atys will be a lesser place without you.
