Shields for Event rewards!!!!!! Grrrr

As a shield crafter I must state my total and utter disgust with the decision to offer shields as a reward for the EP2. I have no problem with you offering a craftable item, even shields as a reward.

My BIG issue with this is that at present time the bug has not been repaired and thusly shields have no requirements!!!!! This means a level 50 player who dug a bit can buy himself a Q250 Supreme shield of "OMG I can avoid taking damageness" + crazy crazy boosts equal to 1/4 of their inate HP. Are you kidding me.

I think this was not as thought out as it could have been, why would you introduce an item as a reward that you currently have an outstanding bug in your bug tracking database for? Would it be that hard to search and verify you are not going to exacerbate a sitauation.

Please add this to your items to be learned from Lesson 2.

hehe try from the perspective of a master shield crafter, just made my shield craft redundant lol, not that there was much buisiness to start with, maybe when all are broken and ppl want a new but conventional shields (max parry 30) crafting will start again

You were'nt very vocal about the event daggers or axes All the craftable items introduced have overshadowed the best crafters could make. Although to be fair the Shields arent as bad as the prior event items (daggers/axes); since they cannot be stored/transfered.

Daggers & Axes had lvl restrictions, shields don't ... I think thats more what is bugging him

Maybe ... maybe not. Since Shields have long been the only thing left without level restrictions I doubt it. The shield crafters werent complaining about that. I'm thinking that there are cheap shields with 34 parry and more boost then a crafter can do as and look cool is whats bugging him.

The shields are q250, the axes and daggers were q200. So crafting q250 items you could get an axe or dagger with nearly the same stats. You can't in the case of these q250 shields.
Moreover you had to work hard to get an axe compared to the price of these shields

Exactly you had to get 250 items to get "nearly" the same stats. A player supreme 250 shield will have "nearly the same stats" too. I agree these sheilds are cheap compared to the daggers/axes of the last event. However, this events items cant be transfered.
