What makes you think so??

Well lets find out now, servers are back up. =)

As they said was only a short reboot LOL

Don't want to see a long one then.

Dont start jumping to conclusions.... Im sure this is just unscheduled downtime due to some kind of server problem.
Thats what all the signs say to me.

Just a guess though heh

Yer I agree with all the posts so far - I was ingame when the msg arrived so I presume it was unexpected server or game probs. However as someone said it would only take the devs a coupla mins to post here in the forums explaining what is going on / expected downtime etc. Like a lot of other people I get irate when patching or server DT affects gameplay at weekends - Ive already given up a days overtime pay (at double time) to play today at a cost of literally hundreds of pounds to myself. And no Im not stinking rich either. If this downtime (or that freakin' 'shard ' error message) lasts for too long today Im gonna be well annoyed!

(s'pose it serves me right for being addicted already :) )

Sorry ,it was honestly only expected to be a quick reboot :) But it took a little longer than planned.

Thanks for the update Shadowweb. :)

Though, could you guys (devs etc..etc) still think about posting on these forums when the servers are going down? Even if it's only supposed to be a quick reboot. Not all people are logged into the game to see the ingame message, and it does stop alot of confusion.

Cheers.

If you are logged into Klients you will be informed in there, as well as ingame, when the server is coming down. It's also a live chat so the guides and GM's keep us constantly updated. Klients is also a really great, social place to be when the server is down, as it fills up very quickly with players. It can be so much fun and often ingame conversations are picked up where they left off before the server went down. :)

im not there as often as i should be i admit but during downtime or anything that happens that is the one place to be sure sometimes unexplained things happen nothing runs for 100% of the time , and in the klients chat there you see the guides and gm as andreaw said before they are really helpful solved a lot of problems i was having in the past and well the other players certianly when in there give it life that is really nice just shows what type of players we have here in ryzom if you have not tried klients im my oppion your are missing something very good out

I had no idea about this Klients (i guess i should of read up more) thing. I've downloaded it (well a search in google brings up a irc type program - i take it, this is what your talking about?), but what else do i do?

/Cheers

Edit:

Ignore me, i've found the client and sorted it all. /Doh
Cheers for the headsup.
