So who sets the standards? You? Would you personnal 'eject' me from the community if I have a different opinon then you do and I'm vocal about it, therefore not living up to the community's standards?

I don't think that it is worth getting this involved over it. Most of us contributing to this thread were not there. The person who started this thread took an ambiguous situation, labeled it, and barfed it up in a public forum. Is that living up to the community's standards?

This is exactly what this does, it makes you predetermined based on someone else's random maybe true, maybe creative take on what happened.

So you should stoop to the level of what someone else claims someone did? So much for being a bigger homin than the next.

Noin. (P.S. if everyone is following, I saw Noin take his clothes off :D )

What is this?!? People not rezzing others all for a spot in GoC? What is happening to our wonderful community. It's all that darn PvP. People are getting all 'grr arrg' over the other faction!!! I for one will continue rez any and all when I have the chance. Be they Kami, Karavan, or Neutral-especially if they are neutral! :) Love you all!

Some young member of the Red Ribbon Army (I forget his name) tricked me into dueling them the other day. They initiated an exchange, and then quickly initiated a duel. Being the newbie I am, I went to click on "Ok" for the exchange, but hit the "Ok" for the duel instead, almost without realizing it. Not to mention, I had this annoying exchange question confusing me and blocking my screen for a few moments.

In the end, though, he took me for a lower-level player than I am, and I managed to whoop him easily. Part of me was offended by his trickery, but I called over one of my guild members to resurrect the guy anyway. He proceeded to change out of his harvester outfit, and into a very intimidating set of Fyros armor. Then, he initiated a legitimate duel, with no trickery involved. I thought I would die, seeing his armor, but had my healer nearby, so it did not matter. Again, I won, in short order.

If all that was not bad enough, he then initiated a team with me. I, curious to determine his true nature, accepted, and followed him to some baying cloppers. Along the way, he admitted to trying to trick me, but I kept following anyway. When we got there, he ran around in circles, dragged a whole slew of mean baying cloppers right to me, which promptly killed me. I was not that upset, again, because I had my healer, but I could not help but laugh when I saw them kill him in short order after me.

Not very newbie-friendly, for sure, but it was not that big of a deal.

I told everyone I knew, anyway, just so that they would not fall for it and perhaps not be so fortunate in the outcome. I would still heal and help the guy, but I would be weary when he initiates an exchange or wants to kill Baying Clopper…

i would trek unknown char thru atys, in 4am if he/she would request it, but i will not run, dodging aggo with possible dp (in a middle of leveling dp is not my favorite), to rez someone who is not nice to others.

Yes, I am the infallible arbiter of right and wrong. All who disobey me are condemned.

Let's just assume (and I don't really pretend to know one way or another) that the posted narrative is accurate and complete. Then the accused are certainly beneath contempt. Stealing a spawn, dragging aggro, refusing a rez and then lying about rezzing someone when you have not in the region chat is simply bad behavior. This should be self-evident, there should be no need to appeal the case to my absolute moral judgement.

It obviously did not seem ambiguous to him. There were a series of wrongs commited by two positivily identified characters (and yes they were wrongs, because I say so).

As to the veracity of the account, I can not attest. I am not the infallible aribter of truth. His office is down the hall.

Yes. (infallible, remember)

Reason: my infallibility only extends to moral judgements, not spelling.

So be it!

I was just trying to say that there's alot of room for misinterpritation of events. Especially now that the community is going through the 'pvp is ruining my game' hysteria, the can be alot of assumptions about the intent of another player that could be wrong.

If I'm screaming something in region, it is very likey that not everyone in the region is going to see my post. If I'm right on top of you and a vicious spawn cut me down, maybe you are too busy trying to stay alive then trying to rez me.

To me, just bring it up in a forum like this is uncool. Even if final and jayla were being jerks, how did the original poster get hurt in anyway? I mean if I read the story correctly, we was rezzed after all wasn't he?

Now I bow to your inafallability and await for the pronouncemnt of my punishment.

please note i am just commenting on this, not on the rights and wrongs of the starting post.

It's very inconsistent (sorry spelling) to act one way in a FvF zone and then in a contradicting manner in other zones. Lot's of players RP their character, or at least have some underlying beliefs, ie support of a faction. it doesn't stop just because you are in a neutral zone. It's been a long time since i and others i know have ressed a matis*, or assisted them in other ways. That isn't a bad thing, and i would explain this in character if challenged.

* i make an expection in PR, as i have great respect of anyone who is down there digging. In my mind that is one place where one's faction or race becomes insignificant and we all face the same overwelming challanges and hardships.

1st up i dont think bodhar wanted the community to take any action as all he wanted to do is inform the other 'friendly players' which make up ryzoms uber gaming community.

As for jayla,it was u who choose to share ure a/c in the 1st place so take up the responsibilty for the actions done by other user of ure a/c.

ANd Final we never shared the spawn of jugs...u guys never even bothered to even ask...u just came in a bulldozed ure way in...and how is it u couldnt tell it wasnts jayla playing eh...u guys are from the same clan, seems unlikely 2 me that u cant tell the difference btw the original and the pseudo.

ANother thought...now u guys say to settle it in-game...and every time i tried to talk it out with u guys at tat time, all i got was silence..Hah wat irony.

Could you either turn on your PM' s on the forums or contact me ingame through /tell or ingame mail as I' d like to get that one sorted asap. We might be rogues or sneaky gits but we don' t tolerate that kind of 'trickery'.
