First I'd like to thank JM for the little letter, its always nice to see a sortof open comminication towards the community. It somtimes can be a bumpy ride, but the result will be way better due it.

Second I would like to say that not all people dislike the FvF events. I have the feeling some players dislike recent updates and shout it out on the offcial forums how they dislike pvp and the upcoming updates / plans, some even don't bother anymore to log into the game (doesn't keep them from posting all day though).
Players who are pleased with the game just like to play it, posting on the forums is a reduction of playtime, witch isn't good :D
I understand a few doubts some players have. With wars over terretory coming up everyone will be affected by it, wether you participate in the fighting or not, you will allways have some advantages or disadvantages as a result of the battles.

So far Nevrax has done a great job with the technology, time and funds they have available. Making a game like this is a hughe risk, Nevrax took it and they made it. They have done an amazing job during closed, open and focus beta. I've been with the game from the start and I have seen what progress it has made past 2 years. Some updates seemed a little strange, even totaly wrong, but when you saw the result in the end it somehow turned out great. Knowing this I'm pretty sure Nevrax will also do a damn good job with Chapter III and R².
It's true that the game wasn't ready when they launched it, but when is something like this finished? I don't think it ever is.

Gosh I'm on a roll again, I got to make a point sometime. I even already forgot what I was planning to write :D
Lots of the efforts have been put in balancing pvp, even a strike team was set up. A lot of balancing has been done and the result seems to be very decent. Maybe its not perfect, but I think thats pretty much impossible to archieve. Since a lot of the rescources past few months went into pvp, we'll probly see a few updates in a row involving it. They've been working on it for months, it is a bit logical don't you think?
But with this recent letter it seems Jessica is telling us Nevrax went down the pvp road a bit to sudden. The Nevrax staff seem to have agreed on the fact there still are people around who aren't waiting for pvp or pvp content. I guess they are right, the pvp-dislikers (got to give 'em a name :p ) won't stick around foraver waiting for the content "they" like. You could all be pleased now, Nevrax is working on it :)

Oh just had a bright idea (doesn't happen a lot, so I probly should write this down). Jessica told something about PvE content/events, so I was thinking about a possible outcome. It needs to fit the lore and it needs to be important (why else should someone bother participating). A lot of kittin mobs gather resources themself, mostly to provide the kittin queen with food. So if the kittin win, sources in that area will be more scare and the kittin will protect thier newly gained terretory pretty fierce (like they do in the old lands).
If the kittin loose, the sources will get a boost. Ofcource that area gets raided by some (smaller) groups of kittin from time to time, they don't give up easely do they?
Why can't kittin attack outposts for example, I don't think they are happy with a drilltower drilling thier precious mats?

As you can see, there are lots of good things that are possible, just give Nevrax the time and the result will be something every other mmo developer only is able to dream about ...

Thank You very much, JM, for this great letter.

It really helped with my mood.

I think many of us here were waiting, hoping, for some sort of communication and this letter gave us some of that.

Large additions to game-play are nice, new areas are nice, PvP is nice, PvE is nice….

I would pay an extra $1/mo if you made it so that I could sit in chairs, added some decorations to the towns, and made the NPCs seem less like random filler and gave them something to say or do besides walking randomly. That would mean a lot more to me than a completely new map, factions, Kittin stuff, or anything else.

As allways... let the fires burn down and reasure the survivers with hopes what tells us nothing.
History repeats it self and you doing it again.
Hope you for once can take the critism on what one and learn now.

What some tips?
NR 1
Remove the newbie land with a new one what bring all lands together and brings players closer and make them feel as they are a part of some thing bigger, and not alone and in a empty game.

Losen the game up a bit, rise the diffrent caps again.
As an old pen and papir GM with rules close to my heart, i allways experienced what if i don't go to hard on the players they losen up and have more fun.
If you kill them to fast they tend to have diffent plans the next time its what RPG night.

To take a classic... look on the diablo game, is it hard to gain lvls there? hmmm no.
Even i now so many years later i some times run it up again and start a new char caus its so great fun to lvl up and explore deeper, as in all rpgs i played.
Even (god forbidd i say this but) WOW or Guild Wars it not hard to lvl up in and may whats why its been a hit cuz it one of those things what makes you what to play.
And what is the progress in your charactor not the only thing but a big one of them.

As you say foucus on real play time features what can be mixed with the normal lvling.
Missons/quests what give the player more then just fame. No ones brother doing them as where is nothing gaind from them.

And finaly, you need more then ever is to try to get the trust back for the player base.

I like the difficult leveling, but agree with most of the rest.

Thank you Jessica! I know it's been a rough three weeks. Hopefully those with fingers on the cancel button take a moment and read your letter. Posting this letter earlier might have fallen on deaf ears as folks were angry with everyone for various reasons.

This game takes you in and beats you up. And for some reason (fun? mental illness? Pretty!??!) you can't wait to log back in again. The Saga isn't dead but its been wounded. Hopefully we can repair our community, prepare for war (Kami, Kitin, Karavan, Kaetemi, Kye :) ) and prepare for peace.

I'm not willing to give up HOPE just yet. Y'all created something that drew us in, now let's see what this baby can do.

Glad Halloween is over and the skulls are gone. I forgot how scary Grimjim looked...

Great news, I cannot wait for Kitin PvE events! I missed all the previous ones, but saw some of the vids and they look really fun :) I really love this game, and I can't wait for Outposts and Kitin RAIDs and all this stuff. Awaiting, wth baited breath, more fun being Nillian :)
