If the Kami want the favour of Ma-Duk in completing their temple then they need to get digging/crafting and overtake the Karavan. Yesterday the Karavan held the island after a few Kami decided that fighting would make more sense than harvesting peacefully. After their repeated attacks all failed these Kami warmongers left the zone. The Karavan dug all day apart from when defending, so who do you think got the most materials and built more of their temple?

Every last Kami homin should be digging now, merely trying to stop the Karavan isn't going to work with their lead. If this doesn't happen then none can complain about the unfair boosts.

My contract with the Karavan expires at the end of tonight and I'll happily switch back to the Kami if someone pays the fee. A few of my guild are unwilling to fight unless paid, they too can be bought. Any devout, wealthy Kami-supporter can make this happen...

Which they are unlikely to do if they give the most aid to those building in their heartlands. If they really wanted to spread the religion then they would put some actual effort into getting people to build those temples and give them a higher proportion of aid and possibly higher rewards. After all which is more heroic, building a temple in Yrk or Pyr.

One alarming factor is the lack of participants between the two acts...
The Kami lost 122 diggers and the Karavan lost 111 diggers (assumption: those that are participating in Act II also participated in Act I).

The numbers now favor the Karavan (103 diggers (231260 points) vs 95 diggers (145780 points)).

Act III has its work cut out for it to pull players back into the event.
Maybe diggers got tired of being the targets and left largely unprotected (I only go out when there is a truce). Or they felt that their efforts were made inconsequential by the "gift". They were kicked again on Wednesday by the announcement that their efforts may be fruitless as only the most complete will be finished (what's the cut-off??) Wednesday's announcement should have been given before the end of Act I, IMHO. Or they are simply bored (I went, I foraged, I was "kinchered", I was PK'd, I moved on).

It kinda feels like the end of the Kitin Invasion epic event... It could have been something more, we (the players) didn't reach the "goals" or "triggers" for various reasons and then they tossed a few bosses at us and said "grats, you won!"

Dang! I wasn't going for a downer of a post here... Dig! you lazy buggers, dig!! Get out there and dig!! If you can't dig, protect the harvestors from the kitin!! If you can't fight off the kitin then heal!!

Aye, I always said the karavan gave me the chils - and C'mon.. the kami are so warm and welcoming! they wave their little (or HUGE) paws at you and scratch at the floor and play little tricks to scare the hell outta tpers still regaining their vision. not like the karavan, *tsssss, (laser burns on your shoes)* MOVE ASIDE*

BUT - i am a mercanry and go to the highest bidder. and hey, for a cool costume and a gun, i'd be more'n happy to side with the karavan for a day or two.. esp if i get to fire the guns and ride in the flying citadels!

can't we all just.. get along?
*Jena and Ma-Duk: (pausing for just a moment) NO! (as they continue to strangle each other) MY TEMPLE LOOKS COOLER! NO IT DOESNT! YES IT DOES! NU-UH!

*sigh* Nothing to see here folks, walk away

...and all the Karavan sing:

"My temple brings all the homins to the yard,
and they're like,
its better than yours,
damn right its better than yours,
I could teach you,
but I'd have to charge"

Please don't let this happen to your town!!

The Matis Karavan got a boost because the first Terrain was Desert (shouldve been given to all except Fyros or better still they couldve checked which diggers had Desert skills and awarded boosts to all temples to compensate for those that didnt)

In AD the Karavan were largely kept out of the middle area so they foraged alot more root , seems they got the second boost because of this lol

The Kami are building three Temples the Karavan only two are the Gods blind to this ?

On wednesday the Karavan envoy said "Despite the attempted disturbances of the Kami warriors, you defeated them and overcame all!" and the Kami rep said "You have achieved great things, but you have been defeated by Jena's troops and noone could have prevented them from carrying out their shameful depletions of the very heart of Atys."

Also theyve said only the most complete temples will be built so why should anyone (especialy the Kami) bother anymore ?

The karavan were consistently kept out of the middle in Aelius on Arispotle :D ?
Is this true for Aniro and Leanon too? Fairly odd that over every server, each and every karavan temple has built much more pedestal in relation to its other parts (and this configuration benefits most from the double the percentage boost mentioned earlier in the thread) whilst the kami proportions seem to be more even and random. I find myself starting to believe Petej :P
