Time for some positive comments

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Sorry to come back sooo late in the discussion, but are we reading the same forums ?

hehe, french players seems upset as well but they don't use forums same way:
Lot of threads are like 10+ pages and some long time players leave as well (or have left).
Concerning population, I would not bet that they actually are more than us..
Would love to have actual figures tho.

And you might ask Acridiel about how the German Forums are or just believe me: equally upset about the PvP-issue.

SoG maybe on tuesday earliest or soon after.

I survived Patch 1. :) I'm not so sure about Episode 2.

LoL just browsing a thread and my eye falls on SoG :p

I wouldnt expect SoG at the start of november, rather near the 20th or end of november. Who knows but just so you wont be al too dissapointed if it aint tuesday or very soon after. ;)

I saw Evolution registered the guild for DnL, welcome :) Do remind tho that it is a game focussed on RvR or FvF PvP. Only in the starter kingdom there is no PvP. This is not in duels but as its called non consentual. Any dark player can kill a light player in any other kingdom and vise versa :)

The starter kingdoms are larger than all of Ryzom btw(or so i thought anyway), there is one for Dark, one for Light each larger as the whole of Ryzom and one netraul trade hub; Al Drifia.

Yes, but it is made and balanced for that. Nor like SoR where AoDs will nuke everything else in ms. Also as a Woodelf Ranger I hope to sneak away from most of it.

Just wanted to make sure you knew, im sure youll have a lot of fun in there :)

As for being a woodelf and sneaking, i imagine wit such vast landscapes you can literally get "lost" in the woods or lands, should be amazing :)

And it definatly goes a bit further as "3k nuke! youre dead!" pvp :D

They will have that triangle:
Melee-users loose to Magic-users
Magic-users loose to Range-users
Range-users loose to Melee-users

Imagine an AoD more or less totally loosing his spells each time he was hit by a ranged weapon user here in SoR.

They will have a rock, paper scissors system but it goes a little further as you put here, although you give a good indication of the difference in systems, very roughly put a "one takes all" system compared to a system where every class has an equal stratecial role.

But maybe this is going to belong on DnL forums lol(as its not so much about SoR no longer and theres so much to that pvp system its a discussion thread on itself :) ). Im following DnL for as long as i followed Ryzom and havent ever managed to loose interest or enthousiam about it :)

Im always smiling when i see familiar names pop up on the community there, i think thats why i replied about it, out of enthousiasm :)

Well this is my first time posting anything on these forums. I read them all the time but have never posted before. I would love to give some positive comments but *sigh I am sorry I cannot give much in the way of positive thoughts if any. I am one of the many people hanging in to see if there will be something for a none PvP person to do. I do not like PvP at all.

I joined this game for the foraging and crafting mostly. I did get my healing up to around 142 and think my fighting skills are in the 80 on 1h Melee but I hate to fight. On the postive side I am 210 Lake forage, 101 PR, and in my 80's so far on Jungle, Desert, and Forest. I am crafting LA q170 both Tryker and Matis. MA is q130, finally got Zori staffs to q90 and I make desert shields q70 so far. I love crafting but foraging can get to me sometimes.

I would make armor, shields and staffs to sell but not taking a chance on someone buying the items I make and then end up killing me. Would be ironic to me if someone bought my armor to wear or one of my staffs to fight with and then ended up killing me.

This is only the second online game that I have played (EverQuest was the other one). I have really enjoyed playing until everything started turning toward PvP. But I am hanging in until I see if everything moves into PvP and then if nothing for me to do anymore I will cancel my account and quit playing online games.

New zone is up! yay!
More of the same! nay!
Bang, bang you're dead! nay!
Crazy kinchers! They may be smaller but they still get me! nay!
Water! yay! err... nay!

I didn't think that the ideas we shared here would of made it into this new land or even the next but one can dream!

In a blink of an eye the karavan and kami doubled our efforts as reward for our hard work and sacrafice endured during the construction of their temples. Makes you wonder... What do they need us for??

With the loss of the resources from Aelius Dunes our temples are at risk of remaining incomplete without further assistance. We are building upon an unstable structure. A metaphore for FvF perhaps.

It would have been nice if the temples appeared different. They don't look like there has been much work done on them at all. But then we haven't really. Our efforts continue to be twarted by an enemy too relentless and too many. We can only dig when they are asleep. It has become so routine that one can take a survey in the region and note one's faction by name.
