this post is not directed to nevrax but to the players. my sub. is up at the first of december and i have a choice to make. nevrax is trying to add content and keep their story going how they see fit to, even in the wake of the negetive posts that are a constant in these forums. the things that are driving me away from this game are the players themselves. theres almost nothing of an economy left on atys..i go to the merchants just to look and theres next to nothing above q100 to buy and if there is it's very high priced or there just to be stored(a couple exceptions, but few). i hear nothing of treks or other player events going on. i really don't even see many teams out hunting either. i think what nevrax is doing is great..they are adding new content, which has been demanded, and are trying to keep the storyline evolving rather than staying stagnent for the same old grind. i truly love this game but the constant negative posts and lack of player cooperation are forcing me to look into other games..not the new content that is being presented to me. if you as a player are unhappy with the direction of the tory and content of the game then make your actions say it for you..stage kami/kara player events in protest of the war..show nevrax that you want to work together rather than against eachother...but do it in game, not in the forums. seems lately when i log on i'm just bored. homins are either working on E2(which honestly has little interest to me) or working for thier guilds..which only makes the community look like they want PvP...GvG..FvF. I hpoe i am completely wrong in making this post. and i hope i get a lot of homins in an uproar over it, cuz i blame you the homins for the apparent failure of ryzom.. not the hard working people trying to please everyone with new stuff. please band together against me..hate me even.. but for homins sake start working together on something to show nevrax that's what you want.. whining and complaining won't work..we have to work together all of us we all subscribe to this game and we don't have to participate in E2..theres a whole world for us to enjoy...mabey if 50 homins at a time tried to go into kitin nests every day they would see that as what we want..mabey if 50 homins gathered together and raided a powerful npc camp they would see thats what we want..mabey if 50 homins gathered together at the foot of the secret kami oasis and demanded it were open they would see thats what we want..mabey if 50 homins....BAH..50 homins aren't going to band together for anything..the game is going to evolve how the devs see fit..take it or start working together as a community in game to show em what you want....now hammer on me that i'm wrong..please.. cuz it's a start..i have a year invested in this game and i don't want to see it fall apart. so put up or shut up people..take it or leave it..come onmake this game what you want it to be..you have the ability..but do it in game not here

Some of our guilds won't sell anything via NPCs anymore cause their faction-enemies could buy their stuff! Would you want to equip someone with real good weapons and armor only to get nuked by him/her as soon as you're digging mats for the new temple in the PvP-zone, huh? And since these FvF-PvP-zones are gonna be everywhere in the future, this is just the beginning!

If you like this new content so much, than learn to get along with that and all the whining too, cause it's gonna last!

bgraz, what you're writing about (it's hard to read, btw...) is one of the things that me (and others, a lot of others, in fact) were worried about. Yet, being "against" what is happening right now on Atys and being "against" what was recently announced for Atys to be, commonly seems to be misunderstood as me (and these others) denying the supporters of it their anticipation or even share of the fun with it, while that's clearly not intended by me... Still, indifference rises on my side. With worrying speed...

But anyway, some of us newbies are trying to get things going again. We're all pretty excited about the game, ignoring the over-PvP, etc. I was going to quit too, with all the gloom-and-doom, but I'm giving it all a go again.

Nevrax: Please, for the love of Atys, make factioned vendors. We can't have our pristinely crafting weapons going to the frickin' enemy!!!!

Don't blame players for what Nevrax indirectly forced them to do..
I agree with you on the result but this is far from any player gameplay (even the pro-pvpers.

After I decided to stop going in dunes, I wandered a bit around Yrk and decided to help a few noobs getting some lvls (as most of us used to do long ago).
And this guy said one thing: "everyone is so helpful in this game...". This kinda threw me back in time but in fact not: the game is/was great, the player/community is still great and still know how to behave/help others.

Freaking plains are making the worst of each of us go out, the worst doesn't go out just because we play, as we played for long and the dark side rarely showed.

Yes Bgraz, it is certainly sad to see the world deserted like this. They keep telling us (Nevrax and all those who happen to like playing the war in the old lands) that we can still have our old game if we don't like the new part ...

The sad truth is we can't. This game is heavy on teamplay. You need people for that. A lot of people. There weren't that many around even before the old lands and now there are even less people to be seen. Some have left, some are at the old lands simply because there it's where everything is happening and the rest are wandering around deserted regions.

How long will you wander around alone, waiting for someone to show up, so that you can try to see if there is something you two can do together? That is what you seem to expect of the others actually, to wander around until you come so that you have someone to team with.

I do wish for a similar thing as you do, to gather people together, the last remains of those who want to play the game like it was before. I do believe there is still enough of us around, but we are scatterred all over Atys, alone and helpless. There is a guild on german forum that declared it (its members) will keep their 'Fame' score clean at zero. I don't know if such guild exists on our server, but it would be a place for us lonely players to gather and do things together.

So is there a guild that gas put it into its charter to not participate in this war? Would you join me if I started one?

And Bgraz, capital letters, spaces after the period and the paragraphs play a very important role when trying to tell people something in written text. You'll get your message accross better if you use them too.

Well if I was a high level crafter (i'm not) I would not sell items to NPC's for resale as I would hate to be digging materials and get killed with one of my own weapons.

Only thing I see the market good for atm is for people who do not care about selling to either side probably selling at over inflated prices.
