Ok I understand that sometimes there peace is good, but really, dont make it peaceful all the time, you're only killing the fun of (pretty) new players...
Yeah, we understand all that. But as hard as may be for some people to believe, there are those that just enjoy foraging peacefully too. With an all out war raging around them and everyone just blasting every red dot in sight, they can't do that and then they're the ones bored and only having their fun killed.
I don't actually mind the war as long as it's about equal. I can help push the Kami back, dig for 15 minutes, fight off the Kami counterattack, if succesfull dig for 15 more minutes, if unsuccesfull go back to step 1. Problem is most of the time during the day the Kami totally outnumber the Karavan, and the latter can't even leave camp. So now the Karavans are bored because they can't do anything and the Kami fighters are bored because they have no challenge, only ones having fun are the Kami diggers. At night, it's the other way around with the Karavan outnumbering the Kami.
I'm all for alternating between peace and war at set time periods though, so both can have their fun. Maybe the most honest solution for all parties involved would just be war if both sides are about equal, and peace if it gets too one-sided. But it could be hard to get everyone to agree on something like that.
