I am sad when good people leave, but that’s what happens in life. People come and go but life carries on. Try to apply this philosophy here.

Rushin, please stop your constant crap on the forum, it is utterly unproductive which ever way you look at it. What gives you the right to try and ruin my game, because that is what this is. You don't like my posts, go read another. You don't have the right to try to determine who gets to say what, and send newbies running in terror with your gankfest attitude. What are you thinking? I am sad when good people leave, especially when it could have been completly avoid with a little more thought, and a bit less forced PvP. Gankers come and go, and the more that go, the better. Try to apply this philosophy here.

i don't think anyone is disposable, far, far from it. The only thing i really want is for every single one of us to just stop, play the game and have fun. That surely is the point of all this?

Nothing's perfect, but to have new players utterly put off just from reading the forums, can you honestly say that is ok?

The point is that the ability to do that has been compromised or taken from some. Why is one type of fun given precident over another?

Hopefully things have been listened to which is why I'm trying to relax and step back a bit now.

After all, patch 1 was sorted pretty quick, so there's hope that some are being listened to.

Yes, if it gives them an accurate and informed opinion of their own.

Basically you just want to silence anyone who has a differing opinion and make everybody conform to your playstyle... which is what has caused this mess in the first place.

Do you know why every MMO today has a forum? I've seen a few try and axe their forums or impose censorship when they get negative. It only makes things worse. Forums exist as a form of communication between customers, and between the customers and the service provider. When the customers don't think they're being heard or paid attention is when they leave.

I've not heard of anybody quitting the game because they don't like the game forums, but I've heard plenty of people quit every game because they don't think the company was interested in hearing the things they're concerned about.

Unproductive?
What's this one then?

Firts of all i'd really hope that homins who post here should use their ig names as a tag. With ye, i've no clue if ye ever even been on AD so far, or do ye only wanna post zerovalue posts like this.

Secondly i can assure that Rushin have nozipnada to do with activity called "ganking". Ye prolly wud have known it if ye wud been there.

It's hard not to involve these post, but this time i made exeption because outrage lies it contained.

For leavers i say BB, for newcomers wellcome aboard.

If sumone thinks not try this game, because resent heated posting in these boards, i'd say ignore those and give this game a chance it deserves.

There's still some players in game and most of them are still good Homins. Couple of bitter egoists wont ruin this game after all.

It seems to me like PvP has already come to the forums and is now an active part of them.

When I started my new character I met a new player who liked the game, great graphics nice players, the usual positive comments about the game. He told me that he had bought the game not just the free trial, but he still left. I think he left because around level 70 he was finding it harder to get a group on a regular basis to hunt.

The problem I see excluding the present PvP ingame debate is that there are quite a few high level players alot of new players coming and going but not so much in the middle.

My new character had been to all populated regions in less than a week on the mainland, in the old days this would not of happened. One occassion all I did going to one land is run all the way with high levels not much fun not like it used to be when you failed and had to go the following weekend when a party was going.

The high level player base are nice and helpful too helpful sometimes making things too easy, no need to dig and craft when you get given items. So if there's no need to dig and craft as a low level all there is to do is fight. Trouble with this is that the middle level players are a bit thin on the ground which, creates another problem as when you get to the mainland it's becomes more difficult to solo effectively. So you have to group and the easiest way I found to group is with higher levels as there were more available but meant they had to use lower skills and I had to hunt in higher level regions. But high levels don't really want to baby sit lower level all the time and only use there low skills. So as you reach low to mid levels it becomes harder to find sufficent players to group hunt with.

And yes the negative feedback will put new players off if they read the forums but that does not mean that you pretend there's not a problem things do need to be discussed. I do think the Ryzom skull emblem now displayed by several players does nothing to promote the game but only to promote there view and I'm sad for the game that some players have felt they needed to take things a stage further.

I'm sure once we start getting some responses from Nevrax things will calm down a bit.

At least I hope so.

marct wrote:The point of this post is that the vocal minority, either for or against are mainly the only ones you hear from here on the forums. There is a group of 30-50 people who verbally battle out the pros and cons of every little nit-picky detail.

The fact exists that there are very few people who actually visit here, much less post here, and you should never base the opinion of the entire community based on the forum. Go in-game and form your own opinions.

Noin.
So, um...which is it?

And I would hope that this game were full of mature players that get satire.

I would also hope Nevrax would be able to implement PvP in a meaningful and story driven way, leaving options for those who don't want a part of it to still participate in the storyline.

I guess we will both end up dissapointed.
