Hi, all. I am a noob on 7 day trial. By the looks of all this complaining I won't be going any further either.
I am a WOW / AO player that was looking for something a little more friendly / less level grinding.
Read a lot of reviews etc, thought "Hey Great, looks good!"
I am in the noob island and while basicly deserted, am enjoying the digging , crafting (vs WOW) and combat. BUT I am not a PvP or RP to any great extent and by the looks of the complaints in this and other threads guess I will be going somewhere else ***SIGH*** Had so much hope for this one from the ad's.....

Well congratulations to all the people that have posted the 10,000 i quit/everyone i know is quitting, this suxx, the game is dead/ruined, blah blah messages. get this in your heads please: you are driving people away from the game, pissing off a whole load of current players with your childish threats and rantings.

this is actually a confirmation of my fears, and my motivation for starting "the reasons to love ryzom" thread, i just really hope new players dont base their feelings on the game just from the forums and newb island.

there are lot of ppl not haveing fun (peace in AD was nice, i enjoyed it)
there are guild who are losing members
lot of old players are leaving

and to original n00b... global FvF has PvP flag you can turn off if you dont like to get ganked... tp's well.. gonna be fun

edit: saying that players are driving new ppl away is false. it's all Nevrax. we (players) have no saying where Ryzom is going aparently ;-(

the future of this game is new players, yes its sad to let go of players you know who leave, i have had a guild load "to bury" and ive taken a while to do so. I have realised in the time i have spent back that the way to move forward is through meeting new people IG and helping out the new players etc.

Those people with the black ribbon idea should be ashamed of what they're doing

but with a weeks trial how can you ever get a full ryzom experience? With a little longer players can change style and adapt to what suits them

When Global FvF is released, IMHO, they will get the 'full ryzom experience'. It does take a week to get out of the starter isle, go to the main land, find the shops are empty because people with only sell to 'thier faction', find that they have restricted movement on the lands.... need I say more?

I kind of agree...also, these forums reflect what the playerbase is feeling. I expect the trailler got quite a good idea of current thoughts...
