Floating names VERY big

Not really a support issue, but...

I find the floating names and HP-rainbows to be way to big. Especially while participating in events with lots of characters like recent massive meetings. The names seem to be about 16 pixels high and I turned off the Sap- and Focus-bars just seeing the (too) big red HP-bar. I'm sure it's a matter of taste, but sometimes I can't see the homins because of the healths.

Is there a way to either change the size of the names (and the healthbars) or toggle between showing them and hiding them with a keystroke or does anyone have a way to make them less obtrusive?

What is the screen resolution you use?
What is the mode you run the game in? Vid card/drivers, you know what I am looking for

Pressing shft-F5 will clear your screen of everything btw, but also all the windows you might have open. Pressing shft-F5 again will make them pop back up.

Thanks Fry, I toggle the GUI sometimes now.

My screen res is 1280x1024, it's a flat screen. I have a Nvidia Geforce FX 6800 GT, and as I'm a newbie Windows user I don't know which version of the driver I use. (If I ran Ryzom in Linux I could have told you)

Okee, I was wondering if you were in a very low res, but you are not. Thus what you call *very big* is about the size it gets.

I figured for myself that people I wish to heal hp/sap/stam for are in my team if I need to keep a close eye to it, the others: well, tough luck and leech on my bombs? Then I use my team window, on other cases I use my target gauge. All bars are turned off, too much clutter in my screen for my taste.

Things turned on:
character: name/title/guildsymbol (but I just reasoned I dont really need any of this information badly anyway, so gonna turn it all off).
friends: name/title/guildname/guildsymbol (gonna remove title from this one).
enemies: name/title/guildname/guildsymbol (gonna remove title from this one too).

But a shortcut key or the setup saved per desktop would be nice, yes

Mmm... I have HP and name showing now. I figure I would recognize people and I would see if they're bleeding. Maybe I should use the gauge for it instead, it would make my character half-blind but the immersion would get a boost.

What's more important? I'll turn it off, give me a hollar if I'm passing you when you're covered in your own blood.
