Maybe it's because so many different player wanna be heard with they "own" opinion and they just can't do this all, because it would be imposible. Too many different opinions, even many agaist others opinions. Who's opinions should be heard?morzyr wrote:This can explain alot why we don't get heard in the forums

Nah, I am a bit put off by the small adamant group that just have negativity and rage in their blood and in their speech. I need to get over that and you have helped me realize it.mrshad wrote:Until then, if I give you someone to hate, I am glad to be of service.
I just wish I could help you(and the others) see that you can still be happy even though this current content is not perfect, nor is it all for you. And along with that realize that a constructive non-sarcastic (at least occasionally) piece of feedback could go a long way to making things better.
No one should think things will change overnight, it will take until after Ouposts to get some Major content that is non-PvP focused(maybe R2 before this) but in the Ryzom World you still have the power to influence what that Major content will be. I don't see that option anywhere else, and I know you have good ideas, they are just veiled at the moment in sadness.

EDIT: P.S. I am not in LUV with the new content, but it is an improvement to no new content, and I can see the improvements of previous endeavours down this road. Along with that I fantasize that Nevrax has become much better organized, and I believe it even after I wake up. Stick with it, you will not be disappointed in the end. Nevrax is Different!

But the devs understood "Episode 2 should involve pwning your sister?"
It is all much clearer now.

As for the feedback sections, they are a good way of getting the general vibe of the community, however, I wouldn't worry about pleasing everyone. There have been past changes that people did not all agree with, however, they were implemented anyway. The same applies here. Unless we are part of the actual creation team for SoR, all we can do is make suggestions. We can rant, rave, whine, and cry, but all that comes out to is a suggestion for Nevrax. They in turn can pick and choose which ones they wish to use, if any, and continue on their merry way. Perhaps they have a grand idea for Atys that they see as being the ultimate goal for this project (and no amount of moaning and groaning from the forums will alter their course).
In turn, if you all, the customers, are truly unsatisfied with episode 2, there is nothing preventing you from simply un-subbing and going elsewhere. Thats how you can truly get your message across. If you say "I hate EP2" then go and spend 6 hours in AD, it sends the wrong message. Instead of the Devs simply going off the forums, they'll probably be using more important information, like how many of the players are actually taking part in the Temple event and how much time the average player spends in AD. Yes, I realize that if you didn't take part you'd lose honor points, but if you felt so strongly against the FvF part, I doubt you'd care all that much considering it seems like they're going to be used more and more in future FvF events (as well as possibly being able to buy others things). Also, if there was truly enough support against the FvF that half the people claim, then gettin them to all stay away from AD would force Nevrax to actually change something. However, thats assuming that most people don't support the FvF zones... and I just don't think thats the case. There are a ton of people in there everyday, actually having fun (yes... FUN!)
So moan and groan, whine and complain, FvF is here to stay and I'd be surprised to actually see anything done to change the way it will be implemented. At the moment the voice against it is the minority (it may not be here on the forums, however, in-game there are way more people actually taking part in it that those protesting it. And doubt that'd change too much either, even if half of the people are doing it just because its something new. When AD is done, outposts come out... so something new there too.) Plus this game was supposed to be Kami v Karavan. Thats the impression that was presented in the game manual and on the website. I know Judy will pipe in here, so I'll say this. Your view is that there is no basis for the conflict. My view is the exact opposite. Before I was saying to myself "these people are enemies... so why do they seem ok with each other?". With AD, it makes much more sense to me that conflict be seen between the two. (as for being neutral, thats fine. However, don't expect rewards for it. Its the sacrifice for not "getting involved". The Kami and Karavan are supposed to be more advanced than us, be it magically or technologically, so they would be the ones presenting us with the advanced gifts/stanzas/weapons at the end. As a neutral, you'd have no higher power to get these from)

Offcourse you do, proplem is we don't see any off or very litle what are related to what have been said here.lawrence wrote:That's not the case morzyr. We actually spend a considerable amount of time each day, gathering your feedback from across the forums, getting it to the right people, discussing it internally and responding to it.
It will not always be possible to turn ideas and suggestions into actual in-game features, or to change existing ones. It isn't always easy satisfying everyone's needs, but we honestly take community feedback very seriously. That's why we've created our dedicated feedback section, the player info section on the official website (where we keep you posted on what's being planned, developed and tested), as well as the regularly published articles outlining upcoming features in greater detail.
Your feedback is massively important to us, so please don't stop letting us know what you think should be changed or improved, for instance here: http://www.ryzom.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=84 .
And im sure you understand what i mean.
What im just pointing out is what many feels what you and jessica and Mr X is filtering out many vaild points, once again we don't see what you take futre up in the system and not.
Off cours we are cry and moan all day long, so its easy to drown in all the posts here.
What about all the missing ones? It really not nevrax responseblity to tell us if planned ingame features in not going to be in the game? Is not what missleading customers not doing so?lawrence wrote:It will not always be possible to turn ideas and suggestions into actual in-game features, or to change existing ones.
Once again, tell us more or at least exaplain why you can't.

Excuse me Lawrence, but where are the responses?lawrence wrote:That's not the case morzyr. We actually spend a considerable amount of time each day, gathering your feedback from across the forums, getting it to the right people, discussing it internally and responding to it.
PvP has been highly contentious for months now. The response seems to be to shove it down the throats of non-PvPers and beat them with it.
People have been complaing about the forced PvP with EP2 since it launched. About PvP with Outposts for ages.
Where are these responses? All I'm seeing is another disaster of customer relations which looks likely to surpass even Patch 1 if it hasn't already.
Time is of the essence, ryzom doesn't have a lot of players and you're losing them in droves practically by the hour.

I am not unhappy because you are happy.
I would be content to let you and your tribe blast each other to oblivion, if there were some other means for the less PvP prone to participate in this event.
Or, if I though content more suited to my tastes were anywhere on the horizon.
But, as things stand, Nevrax doesn't seem to be making my kind of game.
So, (as you have pointed out elsewhere) I can:
Leave.
Deal with it.
Cry louder and hope they hear me.
Right now, I am opting for the third.
