Maybe you never can.
I don't know how many more ways one can try to illustrate the same point, or how much more simplistically.
Jyudas, it's not that we don't understand your point or even that there is no empathy for it by some. It's more the fact that the rest of us are having a good time and we're tired of your throwing mud on everything new. Beta is over. Get used to it and move on... or don't. It's your choice, now execute.

All games evolve, this one more than many. I started playing a few months after you, but that does not mean that my opinion is invalid or that my style of gameplay isn't perfectly reasonable. The religious conflict in Ryzom was one of the first things that truly appealed to me. Rather than a Red vs. Blue war, which this could have easily been, we have seen far more levels that could appeal to any player if they just gave things a chance.

So you die now and again...

Big deal.

Now honestly folks, I've already left this game. A whole month subscription -- I know not long. So my stake here, and my roots here, are not what so many of you have. In other words, I don't take any of this personally.

As an outsider, I look at what people are posting. What kind of people are playing. What kind of people are leaving. If those of kaetemi's crassness are those that are now attracted to Ryzom, I'm glad I didn't renew. However, I fully understand many who do like to play with "no warm fuzzy, no nonsense" folks.

I guess my point is, decide what kind of person you are and you want to hang out with, and then decide whether to stay here or not.

And enjoy yourself! Life's too damn short! :-)

yep, you all (majority of PvP ppl ;-) are blinded by fun.

fact: ppl are not having fun with/in ep2
fact: ppl are having fun with/in ep2 (edit: removed PvP)
fact: ppl are leaving because of ep2
fact: PvP ppl are coming back because of ep2

it only matters which side is "winning" (not in Ep2 sence)
and which side can support Ryzom in long term.

I think this is the shortest and most sensible summary of my concern. People come and people go all the time, but can SoR persist?

Many, many "ppl" who are not into PVP are having a good time during this event. I honestly hope that some of those folks take the time to read this thread and comment.

And I understand yours and that you're having fun with it.
What I don't understand is the selfishness that seems to cut the pros off from those who don't like it. If your fun truly stems from screwing up someone's day and annoying the hell out of them then you're not a very nice person - whether its ganking someone in a game or throwing popcorn at someone's head in the cinema.

So, Nevrax completely overlooked a pretty significant proportion of players and left them out of things, make up for it, show some Atys spirit.

ty, i removed PvP from there.

but do you have noting to say about point 1 and 3 ? (not having fun / leaving)

Question for PvP ppl:
Q: Is there some content which would not make you happy (as in cant take part of it w/o being angry/depressed/wanting to leave) ? and which one would that be ? (pure RP content probably is one, but choose another big storyline content here, like ep2 is) ;-)

if there is anything, then:
Q: Would you be happy if Nevrax introduces that to game after EP2 and it would last as long as Ep2 will last (dunno about how long that would be) ?

Ryzom has now dropped off the front page ranking of the top MMO's at MMORPG.com. Very sad to see. After holding the 4th/5th spot for so many months and even got up to 3rd once, not far behind the two obvious biggies.

 :(
