Nearly worked but the lameness will always win :)

I don't mind some PvP i have to say.
When it is properly done and do not affect the whole balance of the game that is....

Log yesterday to have a look at this new area (log rarely nowadays) and had quite some fun with the pingpong fighting from one faction camp to another...

Today the peace nearly worked..
A little revolution happened: harvesters called for peace from each factions.
Not full peace on the plain but at least not the blind space-target / nuke from previous days.. and it did work.... for a while....
Some Kami harving near Kara while pro-PvP players were complaining about not been able to kill .....
Note: Kami AND Kara pro-PvP fighters were complaining about NOT been able to fight anymore cos of harvesters = ??? or ROFL :)
They didnt seem to realised that maybe a PvP group of each faction could meet somewhere on the map away from harvester to satisfy their daily nuking need...

Tho, the centre of the map stayed +/- peaceful for about 30 minutes (one can forgive a few casualties :) )
Then the Kami fighters had enough of it and raided in the middle of the map to rape the full lot of harvester....

I would have said fair enough if it wasnt for the comment on region and the childish excuses which I heard.
- We do RP
- We have mission to kill...
- If your not happy with the new content stay out of here .....

To which I answer on behalf of harvesters which I am at 50 % (50% I do like fighting fighters, NOT harvesters):
Do not ask half of server who doesnt like PVP to stay out of new "content" when the new content is the only one that any of us has seen in 9 months!!!!
I do agree with the right to fight and PvP
If you are low enough to kill harvester, is your problem but then hide yourself on guildchat, on team chat, leave region chat to ppl who can debate :)

I do kinda like the new area, the temple idea isnt bad if it wasnt for the feeling of hell grindin again; love the ideas, jokes and friendly chat that happen in region: region chat never been so active as it in dune lately but few things I hear there make me jump out of my chair....

This, for me, was the highlight of the event. PvPers complaining loudly that the harvesters were spoiling their fun and should leave and go harvest somewhere else :D .

The irony was not lost on me either. :)
Though I bet it was lost on them.

What I found remarkable was that all PvPer had to fight at the exact spot we were digging. I mean I know the area is small but not that small...

Yes, I found it the most funny part of the evening.

The total silence from the PvP-ers, as if their brains had short-circuited. I never had expected it.

Kudos for Machieltje!!

While most in my guild were rather furious at the lameness of region chat I think, I found it hilarious. Best event I've been in since coming back to Ryzom.

Thanks to the people who organized this. I hope we can do it more often.
