The way i looking at it now, that i calmed down. Is that the Chapter 2 with the PVP is like a movie, or a book.
It gets to a point, where you think "hmm, that part could have been done better" but overall the whole movie or book entertains you.
Im not a fan of PvP, ive tried it, and i dont like it. I spent months getting my avi up to 175 melee, just to be shot down with one elemental spell. Yes there are jewels to lighten the blow, but i dont have jewels to cover all magics. So i can run at an enemy, and die. Makes me wonder about newer guilds and outposts slightly, but enough on that for the moment..
So, i can choose to stay out of the PvP zone, and continue to hone my skills out in the PvE areas, where my melee is useful to me. (Im currently working out the best solo route, and so far, have managed to work sword right up to 151 using the solo route)
But back on my point. This PvP is a part of the story, the war between the Kami and the Karavan, if you hate it, its the part of a movie that you found overall entertaining, but there were scenes that disturbed you slightly.
The Saga of Ryzom overall, is not PvP, the war wont last forever, and the story will move onto areas perhaps where a combined Homin effort will be required again, as raids return.
I only hope that the community remains that of one which i know and love, and doesnt become elitist for a lot.
Thats my new take on this event. We've had the months and months, of PvE events, and this is only the early stages of PvP. If its more balanced, then perhaps ill try it again, but for the moment, ill leave it to those who love it, and do the things i love doing, without kicking up a fuss about it
