Don't worry too much about the lvl 20 goal to leave the island.

Stay there and play around as long as you like, but the isntant you're bored or totally frustrated, come to the mainland!

People there will liven it up and help you out

Everything is available on the mainland to level from lvl 1 if necessary.

Thanks for all the help. Finally got a basic grasp on prospecting.

Now i just have to get a few levels before leaving the island. From various guides i read i got the impression an allround character should aim for at least lvl20 in every area before joining the main land?

If you you are into prospecting and digging then stay as long as you dont feel lonely. If i remember well, the sources there do not explode. But if you feel lonely then come to mainland. There are safe digging spots all around the capital city. And of course more other players

Im not really sure what im into. Not really interested in turning into a fighter but it seems fighting is the one thing i earn most experience in just by trying to survive while foraging.

It is lonely out on noob isle, will probably make the move earlier then i had thought. Hope to see some of you around
