Why do I live on Atys?

Post by hans1976 »

Read a nice article here.
It had this quote on the end:
"You can play games like that because others are involved," Han said of serious game addiction. "It's not a game problem, it's people who had difficulty communicating with others resolving that difficulty through online games."
How surprised are you?

Not too much. I made poll about it some weeks ago. The poll showed people who put more time into playing then i put into earning my money.

For some people online games are convenient in communication for sure. I am not talking about people without a life, but about people who have to work nighttime, or early morning or twice a day. I had myself such a job some years ago where i worked late night and weekends. You dont have enough time for RL social contacts and you are happy that there is someone when you come home late night or early morning. Even if you are married and have children you can get quite lonesome if you work nighttime and weekends.
