Feeling like a noob and acting stupid in Flaming Forest/Scorched Corrider

Post by roninpvp »

We'll had to move on into 250 desert zones... so decided to check out flaming forest then wander down into scorched corrider. Had some spots marked but lost them long ago due to a file corruption problem with my save folder. So easy enough run to marks I had on my map as "here" or "unknown" Since I printed out the maps from screen shots I had but obviously I couldnt see what the flags were.

1. A character yells in region for a rez and tells me near the Seeds. I dont know where the Seeds are :D Near the entrance to flaming.... We'll I know of at least 3 entry points into flaming.....
Wander around almost dying then realize they've respawned without saying anything....

2. Sneaking by Scorchers...(Why Do I a Homin Beloved by the Karavan have to sneak by a Karavan tribe....pfft who knows :P ) I only see one Kipucka betwen me and agro free areas it seems. Peace of cake i'll just hit speed and run by this overgrown beatle. .... wrong... Pakuh hits y ou for 3xxx Pakuh kills you.... craps didnt even think to check the con. Didnt expect a named kipucka :(

3. Pakuh still in way .. OOOOH JOY Minyon wanders into a fight. Now to sneak by them while they fight... Pakuh kills me again.. Stupid Minyon didnt last long enough for me to even sneak by . Sigh...

4. A group of Senior Elite Magicians (scorchers) wanders into Fraiders camp.......OH COME ON NOW I HAVE TO SEE THIS. Thinking I may even kill one and get some fame before they kill me. Throw a double missle at a big blue one and hit Mele Aura instead of Magic Aura :o pfft Dead me then watch as the entire tribe is wiped out in less than 1 minute. Pfft no wonder the Matis rid ourselves of our primitive tribes :p

Oh well maybe I'll actually dig for xp and instead of removing dp tommorow :P

It would have been much more productive just digging in the 200 zone I guess but not as much fun :D

Seed spot is directly due south of 'The entrance', near the big canyon that almost splits FF in Half... When people refer to 'the entrance' they nearly always (99.999% of the time) mean the entrance to FF near the Oasis TP.

I love running around the Scorched Corridor, you really have to keep your wits about you and not be afraid to dig off a little dp now and then. Avoiding Poncha, Pakuh and Nymton is always challenging and it's nice to see Minyon give some back to the zerx.

The Flaming Forest is a fun place to dig too and usually has a few people around who will always need a rez sooner or later. The Kami tolerance in the two main harvest spots in FF is usually low though.

It's pretty much my favourite area of Atys although can get a bit lonely at times. This can be a good thing, hope it doesn't get invaded by tourists now :p

Yeah the only downside is the lack of outpost spots (for Hawkers) , should be realy nice if/when the Secret Kami Oasis gets opened up though :)

I' m pretty certain that in his case you could easily use something less extreme, like say buying him enough rounds or winning enough games of dice.
