You have got to be kidding??
For one the Karavan wont run, it is listed as an avi, not wmv.
Second, I dont want this game to head towards a Jihad!! Dont we already have that is real life??

At least in the Game Eatrh and Beyond, the four races may not have like each other, and there were wars in the past, but they go it together and worked together to fight their enemy!!

I dont want to play another command and conquer style game!

So I suppose the only guilds that will get an outpost are the ones who are for this upcoming holy war??

Yes Im frustrated, I dont like being forced to do somethings. To keep playing in the game I have to take a side?? hmm, we will see how it goes!! Im not giving up on SoR yet! Yet I am disappointed!!

What a load of exaggerated yubo-swoggle.
The propaganda machine is certainly in high gear. :(

Proud to be one of the very few lone guilds opting to stay neutral.

Er, that was the point. They were supposed to be over the top, completely biased videos, hence 'propoganda'. Just because the community isn't 100% behind a war, doesn't mean the Kami/Karavan film-makers aren't going to try and incite it. I thought both videos were great as an example of that and were hilarious.

As for neutral guilds, IMHO any guild that said they'd follow this religion or that leader are not neutral. From the speeches, Reapers do at least seem neutral :) although they're not exactly renouncing their faith in Jena who is quite happy for Kami supporters to die (and vice-versa for Ma-Duk) :p .

Well leave it to the News media to again misrepresent what the ppl think and feel about Real Life (MMORPG)!!

This just in from the newscenter : "The People of Ayts want a religous war, they want killing and fighting against each other" Not!!!

Dont believe everything you see in the news, Its just one factions decision to impose their beliefs and Ideals upon other who dont want to live that way!

Im not saying I dont want to see a little more action in the game because I do. I just dont want to have to be told that a game I enjoy now has to be played differently just because of religion! This is just a game listen to what the peoepl say. Most ppl wont post on the forums, go ingame make a message, as you do before event, ask for ppls real oppion of what direction they would like to see the game go.

Speaking of Events, when is the next Event??

Just to be clear, I wasn't commenting on the Reapers position, but on the Report as a whole. (I only saw the Reapers post after I submitted mine.) :)

I was hoping to counter-act some of the war-mongering propaganda by letting people know that there are homins willing to make the difficult choice of remaining neutral, risk being scorned as cowards by the hot-headed, and possibly missing out on some of the faction rewards, due to our beliefs.

We need a neutrality video now. :D

Can't agree more. I was online as was many of my guild officers as well as those from other guilds at the time of the ...er....announcements. I did not bother to attend, nor, according to my "/who" in region did I see any drop off in region population at the announcement time. Seems, in my neighborhood at least, peeps just kept doing what they were doing and were ignoring the "knee deep" dung resin being spouted by the "let's be like WoW" investor group or whatever is driving this change.

While I initially sighed at the announcement of Lord of the Rings Online (http://lotro.turbine.com/) , I am impressed by the screenshots and their committment to keep PvP out of game. I was afraid of what Peter Jackson might to the LOTR legacy and was pleasantly surprised with what he was able to accomplsih. This game is not another retelling of the story of the books but, apparently, is set up for aparallel story lines with the LOTR story in the background. Perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised again.

The one thing I do find disppointing is long standing nuetral guilds deciding to declare one way or another as a defensive move instead of standing their ground and refusing to participate. "Well the only way to get an outpost is to declare a faction". I will again keep ignoring this whole faction dung resin stuff and guild wars dung resin stuff and play as I was always playing. If my game play is interrupted by continued attacks from either side in this silly war, I wil simply vote with my dollars and drop my subscription.

How Nevrax can face the possibility of losing 1/3 to 1/2 of their cuirrent subscription base is beyond me. Let's remember that in any hisroical conflict involving empires or even "world wars", in reality only a small percebntage of the poulation on the plant was involved. The story line is better accomodated by the presence of neutral guilds and they can enhance the experience for both players who don't want any part of PvP as well as those who do by serving as negotiaters, intermediaries, source of mercs, etc.

There are critical events in the marketplace that we look back on and see that this was where it all turned. As WoW aged and had large exodus of players looking for alternatives for a more mature gaming environment, tarde press was starting a call for "MMO's family's could play", Nevrax stood poised to gain media attention for their unique stance. Now we have Chronicles of the Spellborn, Dark and Light and a host of other games on the horizon all seeking to get a slice of the PvP pie. Don't see how Ryzon has a real shot at getting it.
