LOL!!! My answer was the second one. Keeps going with the emphasis on the chugging!

My l33t rig is:

PIII 800
32MB vid
256mb ram

Playable although I keep getting left behind on long runs. Can't go near Zora or Pyr, and FH crawls (still haven't bothered with an appartment for this reason).

But Christmas time is coming and i've been a good boy ;) (which is the same thing I was saying last Christmas :( )

WARHOL's Specs

WARHOL is the computer I use for Ryzom (among other games). FRAPS tells me that I never drop below 20 FPS _anywhere_ in Atys, so that's mighty cool. My other comp, socrates (yes, it's all lower case), has stats hardly worth mentioning, just a lot of HD space.

I want to join in on the showing off of stuff too, so here:

MoBo: MSI 848p Neo-V 800mhz FSB
CPu: Intel P4 3.2G
Ram: 2G PC3200 Kinston RAM
Sound: Audigy 2 ZS
Graphics: ATI x800xt 256
Storage: Maxtor 250G 8mb cache 7200 RPM
Maxtor 200G 8mb cache 7200 RPM
PSU: Antec True Control 550
Case: Antec SLK3700
Mouse: Razer Copperhead
Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse

Built for Ryzom you'd think so.......just wish it'd not crash upon first attempt to load. Works great for BF2 though :)

It was not build to play Ryzom, although i upgraded RAM to 1 gig for Ryzom and i am about to put in another 512 meg. memory is the secret :D My good old 9600XT is not at its limit, but game loads from drive if i set viewdistance too high. Therefore more memory, cause viewdistance is 50% of the game

MSI KT2
Athlon 2400+ 2 Gig Hz
1024 meg RAM
Radeon 9600XT 128 mb
2 harddrives and a DVD drive
onboard realtek sound with 2.1
Hyundai flatpanel (1280x1024)
Windows 2000 pro
optical mouse and a flat keyboard with notebook like keys
100 mbit connection to my DSL gateway ( not router, a server)

Didnt vote as realy id like an option between 2 and 3

2a/ Fine for everything except SoR -Chuggs

Gonna be interesting to see how it copes with DnL in comparison (if they ever let me into Beta or the open stress starts)...
Zoraï : Master Desert/Forest/Jungle/Lakeland/PR Forager , Master Light Melee Weapon Smith , Jeweler Master , 201+ in All 39 Craft Branchs , All Craft Trainer and Outpost plans -gone walkabout (solo) awaiting new content

I voted option 2, could be just a bit better. (I have 1 GB of RAM and need to upgrade to 2GB. I do run into a few probs because of the lack of RAM in games like Battlefield 2.

For those that like shiny things, I play on a laptop, a Dell XPS2(here for those that want to see one).

I am not super into the technicals although I am a technical person...
17" WUXGA, I play Ryzom at 1920x1200 (haven't used fraps lately to read my fps.)

That's the important part, Atys looks awesome when you can turn everything way the heck up.

And debatably more important, the menus are much more comfortably sized at 1152x864 and higher.

Option 2 - My game rig is about 2 years old but has never let me down yet. Nothing out there that I couldn't play from Doom 3 to HL 2.

Asus P4S8X mobo
Pentium 4 2.53GHz
1GB PC2700 RAM
120GB HDD (OS partition, WinXP Professional)
250GB x2 HDD (non-RAID)
BFG Tech GeForce 6800 GT OC 256MB
SB Audigy 2
Microsoft Strategic Commander
Microsoft Trackball Optical
IBM "Model M" keyboard (vintage circa 1992, best KB ever made IMHO... "type hard or go home" :) )
