I am trying to get a good idea of what Outpost conflict will be like in the future. In order to better understand the potential outcomes, I believe it is good to know who the true faithful are and who simply works a particular sort of fame because they are from an affiliated region.
Many of you know that OmegaV strayed from our strict Karavan ties for a while and that we have reclaimed our position as disciples of Jena. You will find that this bond is stronger than ever and that we are very close with our Karavan saviors. I do not expect that you will see any lasting ties to any Kami worshipping scum scheduled for future events on our calendar.
That said, please let me know your feelings on the subject. Do you classify your guild as being strongly devoted, somewhat devoted, or simply neutral without strong religious bonds?
Please, let us know!

I am not yet ready to state things like this... but if Jena calls and those that follow the ways of the Kami in any way support their cause. Then yes, they must die... Until the day that Jena calls me into service, a Kami worshipper is a homin like myself that has beliefs... until they act on their beliefs I cannot but do my best to show them the error of their ways.mtsmith wrote:PS: All dirty Kami worshipping scum must die!
In this case, the so called neutrals are also not helping Jena and may suffer from occasional splash damage, just not actively hunted. Your either with Jena or against her...

OmegaV and Melinoe,
I know where I stand concerning Jena, but I let Lady Sxarlet, leader of Evolution answer for me where the guild stands. My concern is that I hear the voice of Jinovitch in your words.

Re: The Riteous Path - Karavan vs. Kami
For those of you who know me, the "All Kami scum must die!" thing is mostly a joke I started when we were spending a lot of time with Infinity, even if it does sometimes seem to be an unavoidable fact. The longer I make my way in Atys, the more I realize that the statement might be truer than I had previously believed. Despite the rare Kami aligned person I meet and get along well with, the majority of those I would rather not spend time with do tend to be on the other side of the tracks.
The Kami and their followers simply do not provide adequate reason to follow their cause. I am an advocate of all hominkind and I would much rather promote the well-being of homins as a species TODAY than worry my little head off over every Jubla to loose its buds or whether we will be able to pull nice materials 1000 years from now. What gives the Kami the right to impose anything on all of Hominity? I can't remember the last time I saw somebody killed by a member of Jena's loyal following, but those Kami buggers love to kill the occasional digger with what is obviously unjust and criminal action.
On top of that, there is the Kitin threat.
"They stand vigil over the plant kingdom and ensure that no one may destabilize the fragile equilibrium of the planet they cherish."
Does anybody really believe that continued threat from Kitins provides a decreased need for natural resources? Do you believe that the Kitin are a fly-by-night problem and that they do not fit the exact mold the Kami state they they ensure does not become broken? It seems to me that while seemingly more destructive, Jena's disciples are much more willing to preserve Homin life, overall, even if that means relocation to another planet in the event that Atys becomes less hospitable.
As I have been heard saying many times, "Freedom is not free." We MUST pool our strengths at the feet of a single deity who has proven undoubtedly and repeatedly that she can and will provide us with the tools and power to defeat the greatest threat known to Hominkind since the dawn of creation!

Re: The Riteous Path - Karavan vs. Kami
The guild Out of Cavern is neutral. Out of Cavern followers do not wish to be pulled into the kami vs. karavan conflicts. We will though, do whatever is needed to hold our own outpost (if they ever happen *grumble*). If it is any help to this poll, we are in a pretty big neutral alliance as well. *Does the pointy thing at her sig* Hope this nonsense post helped some.

Re: The Riteous Path - Karavan vs. Kami
Be interesting to see if the results bear similarity to a poll i made:
http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17938
It took me seveal months of picking through the lore, to patch conclusions from dogma, to see efforts made and not propaganda, to glimpse the motive and frame a clear idea of the possible futures. from this Following jena and supporting the Karavan is by far the most logical.
The Karavan have been supporting homin civilisation, since the civilisations began in return they ask for materials. This seems fair to me ressurections and teleportation for materials and dappers. In addition they teach us the ways of their knowledge and also protect us from major threats, this may be a vested interest but benefits homins considerably. The Kami also do similar but ask for a balance, and do not promise to protect homins especially.
Then there are the accusations against each faction. It is said by Tryton's followers that Jena comes to conquer Atys, to enslave homins. This is absurd when one considers the effort and resources the Karavan uses to support hominkind it would be a kin to raising a child, teaching it to fight and build a nation to then take it away? Tryton is a foe of Jena (and the Kami) whose motives are vaguer than any and method more secretive. Ma Duk is said to take our souls and sap to stave off a madness of goo. At first i thought this as rubbish then it occured to me that perhaps this is not. Kami seek balance or an unchanging world of stability. They promise just enlightenment to join with Ma Duk. They taught us magic which aside from useful to defend homins, develops our personal sap. And then there are the degenerate homins which make a re-appearance a few years after the exodus. Conclusion is that the Kami are little more than a powerful elaborate parasite, homins being consumed to maintain ma duk/kamis own existance. And their faith makes homins do this willingly. The result being a degenerate.
The kitin. the karavan will and have openly fought the kitin, the Kami by their own doctrine of the balance of flora and fauna will not allow kitins to be exterminated same with homins. So we therefore cannot rely upon the kami, if homins wish to rid atys of the kitin threat. Also as masters of the natural balance of atys, why did the kami allow the great swarm, unless it served to balance the homins.
Then the future. A Kami victory has atys dominated by a parasite (the dragon?) the world will be unchanging, ignorance will prevail and we become cattle to feed the kami. A Karavan victory will lead to a victory over kitins, and the freedom of homins to tame atys for hominkind, to trade with the karavan for services and materials and knowledge, And perhaps even our decendants going to other worlds too. To not act, to support neither, is to keep this existance of struggle and conflict. There is really no viable third way, we homins alone cannot defeat the Kitin, let alone either faction.

Re: The Riteous Path - Karavan vs. Kami
Nah ya see there ya wrong
I used to just do it for kicks cos id gotten to a point in game where i just didnt give a damn anymore about anything this is why i now play WoW
OmegaV them selfs never used to go about ganking for fun afaik it was just me and lockheart and that im cool with, i got enough confidence in my abilty to be able to redaem myself if need be.
Game had just gotted so rince and repeat for me that i needed to crack some skulls. lucky for me Iv now found an outlet for that in WoW's PvP servers.
I always enjoyed killing the Kitin and masive raid groups just non of this was ever happening.
EE peeps just see me in a diff light to the Windy peeps i think anyhow since EE have only seen the evil bord Basic for the most part which is no ones fault but my own but again that im cool with to.
What ya got to remember is that before the mearge stuff i was a more layed back homin that bathed in Jenas light

When was the last time I killed you? In fact, when was the last time you know for a fact that I killed anybody outside of an event? Yeah, I thought so.
For the record, I do advocate PVP as it relates to the storyline and faction struggles, but aside from guild battles over supernodes (during which time we were officially at war with the parties involved), nobody can point the nasty PK finger at Spiff. Next time, do your homework before you start slinging mud and try not to make judgements without knowing all the facts. Otherwise, you'll tend to look like nothing but an ignorant fool.
PVP IS a designated part of gameplay, so your previous statement is unfounded and hypocritical. I'm pretty sure the Kami laugh their little arses off when they kill a poor, defenseless digger.
Finally, this is not a PVP debate, this is a question of alignment. If you can't stick to the topic at hand, please take your blabber elsewhere.
Thanks!
