He is so very quiet these last months. It was a great and noble quest, a world... a real world, where homins made a difference, where material sources rebelled against being overreaped not just by exploding or emitting noxious fumes, but by moving (I swear I read that somewhere long ago, if not.. I apologize for the error); where plants as well as beasts had agendas of their own. A real world, with real world issues; yes war, but war with the world's demands and whims equally as much as with eachother. I realize one hand can only do so many things at the same time and I am fighting myself over the decision to stay or give up. Actually my human wants to move on, she has read about a place from the clouds she thinks might blend more with her ideas of a good entertainment after her hours on the job; it is my Azukia that is so hurt in all this. Azukia had a life's vision, she is deep in mourning knowing now the ideals of her youth will never come to pass.

I am Azukia. I had a sister, her name was Zuki. Zuki was a proud warrior with only the most basic of healing abilities. Zuki trained to fight the kitin hoards, she walked tall and proud in her short life. She got word from her twin (who lived in ATS) that there were huge changes coming to Atys, changes she could not survive. Two weeks before the explosion that was called Patch 1 my dear sister Zuki dehominized (?). I am ressurected from her essence. She passed me her knowledge and the advice that I must train ALL my skills to survive in the new Atys. I was somewhat pleased to learn this as my sister was truly an opposite of me, a test, if you will, of one's ability to create a life completely different than the leanings I would commonly embrace... a life of peace, with war only in defense of my family and my home.

I lived alone a long time, my dear friend Yuritau (now a disappeared one, though time to time I swear i see her run through our beloved Matia, her laughter ruffling the leaves... *let's the tear drop freely*) assisting me in my transition to the Mainlands, learning what I could as I moved through my days. I made what I needed from the bounty I reaped from Atys ground. Finally I found my family and my learning of the ways of my world went much deeper with my new brothers and sisters guidance. Happy was my heart the day I could finally give back, the day I could help my siblings attain their goals. To my distress many of my family are disappeared, I do not blame the kitin as they have been inactive for so long I can only just barely remember when their roar filled me with tremblors. I blame the atmosphere..

Atys is suffocating. The air once sweet and fresh is growing stale, the mornings do not dawn as full of hope and promise as they once did. Our hunting is not for survival of ourselves and our world but only for skin and bone. We have turned into drones in homin's skins and it feels stifling. Somewhere it was decided conflict amongst ourselves was more desirable than conflict on behalf of ourselves; that we could not build our civilization, but we are free to destroy it. It is more and more a struggle to carry my heart.

If we will have war between the civilizations, if we will have war between our clans, so be it. I ask only... what are we fighting for?
i've been playing 9 months now and i love this game. Your post here struck a note with me. I'm just going along with the changes and hope they are for the best, but i completely agree with you. I love the fact that homins must work together in order to succeed, and I've had only good times with other homins. I think that PvP in places with supernodes is fine as a supply and demand issue, But with OP and other areas being about PvP kills the sense of community and working together. IMO homin v kitin would be so much more interesting that everyone would embrace it. homins working together to attain high leves so that we can work together against a common enemy would hold a community together a lot better than pitting homin against homin. In the mean time while we fight over the best OP what are the kitin doing? are they just gonna wander the countryside like any other animal? are we still at war with them? do we need to keep them at bay? can we drive them back to the depths of atys and explore parts of the world that have been decimated and haven't seen homins since the original invasions? I think PvP is poison to a story line that can be so interesting and such a community binder. I will keep playing as i love the game, the grind, the people, the rare events, but i would love to see homins bound by a goal of survival...BRING ON THE KITIN NOT PvP

I would rather that homins had the ability to fight each other, yet chose not to.

As for features promised and features delivered (or even in the process of being delivered) I came to Atys with the distinct impression that a few, entirely unique features would be implemented within a short period of time after release. One of them was the growth of homins. We would grow old, propagate and even die. Soon after release I was informed that this would not be the case and that it was instead a 'long term goal'. This seems to be along the same lines as one of the long term goals of the human race being world peace; I don't expect to see it in my lifetime on Atys.

But I understand that some goals just aren't as achievable as they first seemed. Nevrax are trying hard and hopefully with this 'spring clean' out of the way (something that has stunted the progress of the game and hopefully will see the end to major clean-up processes. Just 'cause it says 'spring' doesn't mean it should be an annual thing!) and new content just around the corner, the population will rise and Atys will see the future stretched ahead of it rather than bodies of previous players burned and the small shards of dreams shattered strewn in it's past.
