Suggestion for Guild Forums

I beg your pardon if this has been posted in the past.

The game has a nice in-game Guild Forum, but it's not used to its full potential. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't used at all by some guilds.

Instead many guilds have their own forums set up on various servers. Bulky for a game where guilds will make a difference.

My suggestion is for Nevrax to make a web interface for the in-game forums, so we can read/post in the same threads both in-game and while not playing. As we already log in to this board with our passwords the security is already in place.

This is a very interesting and cool idea. Some parts of Ryzom client-server interface are indeed web based (for example, we used to get a html/php dump with a few errors a while ago while logging in. A gateway system, allowing a player to interface his guild forums using a simple web navigator (and since we are asking, even access to the IG mail system) would be very useful.

Of course, we don't know the inner details of both systems so it's pretty hard to evaluate the complexity and required man hours, Nevrax may simply not be able to afford a developer working on this at the moment, and I would say this would be a pretty low priority, but definitely deserves being added in some TODO list

sorry to go off topic so soon but having some part of the saga board from offical forums ingame should also be 'relatively' easy (well easier than having npc's doing it). that imo would do wonders for immersion, being able to see whats going on and whats coming up while in the game would, umm, what is it teh kids say.. roxxor
