Personally i like the fact that the names are all completely different, it means that you cant easily work out what skill was worked on to gain it! the more different they are from the current name system the better imo

and Master of the Blade totally Rocks... i want it! i want it now!!!

I was thinking about melee titles... how about if you get all the slashing/piercing/smashing levels?

If you got an across the board title for working on slashing at different levels, like samurai at 150, agent of the blade at 200 etc... (this would require both 1h and 2h slashing levels at required levels)

I hadn't actually downloaded and read the excel sheet until this thread re-popped up to the top.

They wanted to remove the title "Priest" since they wanted to avoid any religious references/titles. So i have to ask, why would they then put in "oracle" on some of the titles.

Definition of Oracle from Dictionary.com:
I.
1. A shrine consecrated to the worship and consultation of a prophetic deity, as that of Apollo at Delphi.
2. A person, such as a priestess, through whom a deity is held to respond when consulted.
3. The response given through such a medium, often in the form of an enigmatic statement or allegory.
II.
1. A person considered to be a source of wise counsel or prophetic opinions.
2. An authoritative or wise statement or prediction.
3. A command or revelation from God.
4. In the Bible, the sanctuary of the Temple.
Essentially, an Oracle is related to a religious role. So why remove one title that is religious, but add a bunch more? doesn't make any sense!

Also have to agree with Spritehs first comment about the weapons. Why name them after something you've never used. That doesn't make any sense either.

While I like the idea of new titles, I think that some of the changes that are proposed need to be reviewed and changed.

I would say that "oracle" is spiritual, not religioius. Also "priest" has strong connotations regarding a certain strictly organized religion that exists in the real world. Oracles appear in virtually all religions. You could say that most religions have "priesthoods," but it's a real stretch.

I do believe as some others have mentioned, there are many many titles in the craft and foraging branch that could use a little spicing up.

For me it is:

Shieldsmith -- Advanced Shieldsmith -- Expert Shieldsmith -- Master Shieldsmith

And, it is the same whether I do it in large shields or bucklers? How can that be?

The same applies for Heavy, Medium and Light armorers: How boring!

Did no one look up the difinition of Oracle before they decided to use it??

1 a : a person (as a priestess of ancient Greece) through whom a deity is believed to speak b : a shrine in which a deity reveals hidden knowledge or the divine purpose through such a person c : an answer or decision given by an oracle
2 a : a person giving wise or authoritative decisions or opinions b : an authoritative or wise expression or answer

So a person who can answer question is not going to be a master healer??
Sorry, to be so picky but that doesnt make sense!!

BIG Question????

Does anyone really listen to the people or do the Dev's just do what they want without a care of what the players want??
So what, the Celestial Guardian is somehow religious, but not as much as the Oracle is. At least in Beta the Real celestial Guardian had wings when healing. Yet someone had to get offended and ruined that.

If we are going to get on a Religion trip lets talk about Ma Duk, It is in the Bible as Mar Duk, as someone previously pointed out in another post, It was a cult or Idolatry religion. Worshiping not the one true God of the bible but a worldy God.

Give me back the Celestial Guardian !!!! Please .... :)

TY Grimjim,

Celestial - An astronomical Object, having to do with the sky
Guardian - person responsible for another, a protector

Oracle - An Oracle is a person or agency considered to be a source of wise counsel or prophetic opinion; an infallible authority, usually spiritual in nature
