Wish I was some help, but this is what I posted for help with myself. I tried to "repair" the game, then repatch all the patches so far, no go. I finally just removed it all from my HD, and am going to reinstall it all today, and repatch again,a nd see if that works. Makes no sense to me for this kind of thing to just start happening. :( I really hope someone out there can figure out what the heck is going on.

Could you guys post the details of your network setups and which ISP you get service from? That may help with this.

I reinstalled Ryzom, and it ran the very first patcher, with the black "command" screen, didn't even get to try to log in at all, and still getting that error. I don't have any other ideas to go on at this point.

I use Direcway satellite systems to play from. It was fine until yesterday.
As far as network setup information, what all do you want? I'm not going to post my IP and other things here, though.

Call your ISP and ask them what did they do with their network, they might have firewalled it or put it behind the proxy or something else. If you didn't do anything yourself then your ISP might have done something to "improve" security of their internet.

This is a network issue. Something on your end is blocking access to the resources your computer needs to be communicating with.

If you have a hardware router read this thread: http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=631

Make sure your Windows firewall is disabled. If disabling it fixes the issue then you can restart it and use the information in the thread above to configure it to work with Ryzom.

Also make sure that any Norton, Symantec, McAffee, or any other third party utilities (and I mean any and all of them) are disabled while you're checking this problem. This includes download accelerators, spyware blockers, literally anything at all. If killing these utilities fixes your problem then use the thread above to configure them in a way to work with Ryzom. Do not disable these utilities permanantly as they are important to your system's security. They are only to be disabled for diagnostic purposes.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

I could play yesterday ..but not today ...I log in then crash with a C++ error window.
I tried useing your link and it opened a forum login window ...in which case my password and login name did not work.....

I have had no other problems with any other games I have played ....

Don't make me start whining ....!!!
