Ah, and thats right to the Point iphdrunk and Xolox.

Everyone who´ll buy these "upgrades" will just end up fillig them up again. No matter if their´re Slots or Bulk. (sorry for that confusion back there) And if their filled up, we´ll just buy a new upgrade, and fill that up again... and again... and again... ad so forth... untill (hopefully) some limit is reached.
But then the whining will star anew, just because some people wanna be able to pull of (exagerated) 50 Lvls in any Craft-Branch just from Packer.
It would seem that some of us are just to lazy to go digging every few hours, or so. They want to dig up say, 100 Million Items, in 3 hours put them in the Packer, transport them home, stay in the same spot for about 50 hours to lvl craft-branch and then go back digging up 100 Million Items... *arf*

Where´s the Fun in that?????

It´s silly and stupid enought that after the last storage upgrade there are STILL unbuyable Mats in with the Merchants. Can you say "greedy"? ;)
Being or crafter nor digger myslef, what drives you people to this booooring and IMHO ridiculous behavior?
No offense meant.

I just don´t get it.

savvy wrote:As I said before not all players need more space but from the votes so far most want the option for more space. The issue is not the slots as much as it is the bulk. GH slots can easily be filled up but I have plenty of slots left in my bag, packers, mount and apartment.

What I am suggesting is *optional* purchasable upgrades to the existing inventory (even if it is just bulk upgrades) as well as a the ability to purchase storage lockers in place of packers. You get extra space at not only the cost of dappers but the cost of losing a packer. Just because you don't need extra space (acridiel) doesn't mean the idea is ridiculous.

I do not like the idea of renting additional space, I think you should be able to purchase the additional space outright. If it had to be rented most would just continue to use the merchants to store mats.

Ah, ah... That´s just because everyone with absolutely no interest in that topic does not look into this thread. And it´s fairly sure also that MOST diggers and crafters who think THEY need more space will look into this thread. It´s defintitly NOT representative of the community.

I think 10,000,000,000 bulk would just about do it for me.

It's a joke, but it does make a point. People will fill up just about everything, but there is some equilibrium. Obviously 2 bulk is too little, and 2 billion bulk is too much. Somewhere in-between there's a point of diminishing returns. Are we there yet? I don't know. I answered "yes" to the poll because there's no cost in doing so. But only Nevrax knows how much it costs to add more space. After all, we'd all have infinite space if Nevrax could just wave a magic wand. Their system resources weighed against our needs are going to determine the space we get.

i don't think anyone *needs* more space. I dont have any, and i use the shady merchant storage thingy if i am on a digging mission. I'm just too lazy to manage my mats better and tend to hoard stuff hehe. Currently apartment is full of supremes and small stacks of mats as is used for crafting experimentation, 1 packer full of equipment, 2 of grind mats and i'm steadily filling up GH as well -)

If there was 10 times as much i'd be in exactly the same situation with everything full and i'm sure most diggers would be as well :) Think renting/purchasing extra space is good idea as is something to do with dapper. Would be nice if merchants took a fee of 10% of the value you put mats on for.. but if you go down that route their might as well be an option to sell/store at merchants and to store costs u 10%, wasnt visible to others, etc.
(voted no btw)

I would certainly like more packers and the ability to craft directly from the apartment window. However, I voted no. If we had all the problems solved for us then where would the challenge to the game be. It is part of the challenge for you to work out the storage usage.

Don't make the game too easy.

Me thinks the same as this really..
I think something that really would be useful is being able to transfer between apt/bag/packers.. it just takes sooo long moving 400 mats around at a time.. *yawn* Plus too many ports = poor puter..
Same could apply for guild hall..

As for the rest, maybe packer moving could use some adjustment but space wise.. think we're ok. But I guess, if you've got the dappers maybe upgrades should could added..

I currently have 3 packers, a mount (everyone forgets the poor mount), and an apartment to store mats I want to craft with.

That's 7,200 mats I can store at any one time.

That's enough.

I usually keep armor, weapons, and supreme/excellent mats that I want to store in my apartment. I craft the rest away when my packers are full.

If I had more space it would mean I would be digging for longer and crafting for longer. But I don't know if I could stand that.

I dig (roughly) 1,500 mats per day. Then I craft them all. I could dig 3,000 and only just fill my packers, then craft them all.

That's a lot of mats - and I couldn't really see myself needing more. And the times I have needed more I would dig 3,000, craft, dig 3,000 (see the pattern here?).

The only reason I can see for having more space is to hoard materials. And that's something you could do equally well at the moment.

Hope this helps people :)

Armorcrafter speaking here.

My apartment is filled with special mats to craft orders from, got to keep some stuff in stock and as a set of HQ heavies uses at least 220 mats and I would like some variety in race and mobmats, my apartment is filled with mats and 1 (one) set of light armor.

Packer 2: combatgear. then about 2/3 filled. My lvls seem to spread wide and I would like a special set for each role I take in a team. Okee, except hp jewels but who knows how I will go after the coming patch... About 250 to 500 mats I can store here, depending on the amount of bullets I have atm.

Packer 3: guildjewels and guildmats to be transported to GH. An y room left will be filled with craftmats. About 500 mats I can store here.

Packer 1: craftmats and my digging/crafting rags/jewels. I have a focussetup that is subspecial for dangerous area and in which I can hunt a bit if it is needed for safekeeping an area. about 800 mats can be stored here.

Mount. Filled with my ql250 prepatch focusgear and tools for jewel/armor/bullettool and a pick.

Lets say I can store 1500 mats.
Lets now assume I would like some lvls in heavy vest.
that uses 40 mats per vest. I can craft 37 vests in the most empty situation, with the most optimal matcombination in my packers. Now lets say I craft sets, this is 1500/220 = 6 sets. Count degrades, they can get ugly, 3 maybe 4 sets.

I know I stacked away a whole lot of gear and mats, but when I realize I can only store away three and a half bag of mats at the moment for crafting...

And I want a second house in Pyr anyway...

Sure theres enough space for grind mats but if you want to keep a good stock (2 seasons worth atleast for Racial Exc -only available in 2 seasons) then you can quickly find yourself limited, plus if you do some serious shopping for mats youre going to fill up on Blade/Point , Shaft , Fang and Ligament thatl need storing until you get the short supply mats (Grip , Counterweight , Wood and Resin) to go with it.

Im also not looking forward to the time they bring in the "can only craft from a packer you are next to" patch gonna have to move alot more stuff around then :/

3 packers , Mount , Apartment and GH and yes ive filled them all before (Apartment was with Amp mats to test combos and GH was with ammo mainly, that I lvld range craft with and stored until I get around to lvling range fight again) , lol I had to get my alts to store some stuff too
