I am posting this as a new thread, in that the original thread has been turned every which way but loose. Hopefully this one might stay more on topic.
I understand why many are hesitant to take Infinity at their word, given that they have made similar declarations of a less aggressive stance in the past. However, now that they are no longer directly allied with OmegaV (who remain hostile to us and others, based on their actions and words) I am content to let Infinity's actions speak to their true intent. And so, after discussing this with Alegra of the Atys Paladins, and with our membership in our forums, the Serenity alliance (AP, AW, ON) is willing to cease hostilities against Infinity.
As for OmegaV, if they are also interested in a change of stance, we would welcome that as well. Although we will continue to fight hard, win or lose, against those who attack us - we also welcome the opportunity for an honorable peace when one is on the table.
Be well & bright blessings, all.

Re: Regarding Infinity's cessation of PR hostilities
The Honda Accord has been dissolved. Leaders of both of our guilds have agreed that it doesn't really make sense for our guilds to continue the alliance. We are all still very friendly and there is absolutely no enmity between members as far as I or any other OmegaV officers know.
Speaking as a representative of OmegaV, I can safely say that you will most likely see a reduction of hostile actions on our part, during supernode spawns. However, we still remain a guild that invites all types of gameplay. If we happen to be active in player versus player type of gameplay, this is well within our rights as subscribers to a game allowing that type of functionality.
To put it simply, if you do not wish to engage in PVP, stay out of PVP zones. To be quite honest, I hold very little ill will toward most members of ON or AP. It has always been the other few who goad myself and others of OmegaV into less than kindly actions. My personal belief is that PVP adds much to a game that could otherwise verge on the point of dull. I can promise that you will never find me breaking any Code of Conduct or harrassing another player. You will see me involved in PVP events, Prime Root combat, and every other type of adventure I can drum up.
The fact is, most in OmegaV are a lot like me. We want to have a good time and play in every way possible. This includes player versus player aggression. As for "KOS" lists, I have nothing to do with that, nor do the vast majority of our members. There are a few folks out there who I duel now and again who know my actions are friendly for all intents and purposes. If I see Buns in the root, I might just throw a nuke at him. The same goes for Audrey, but I'm pretty sure both of them know it's all in fun. Some folks are the same with me and if I die, I get over it and get them back followed by a good laugh and a handshake.
To clarify, this is what I am hearing consistently and it makes wonder at the real general consensus:
1. Whah whah whah
2. You killed me in a designated pvp zone.
3. Whah whah whah
4. I was digging, minding my own business and you killed me.
5. Whah whah whah
6. You're forcing your type of gameplay on me.
7. Whah whah whah
8. You're nothing but a 13 year old ganker. (very typical to hear this one, though it's almost never true)
9. Whah whah whah
10. Whah whah whah
To make my position clear, I find the word "ganker" to be very derogatory. It sounds somewhat pornographic.
Everybody who knows me will probably tell you that I am friendly with just about everybody I meet. Yes, I enjoy PVP, and yes I might just kill you at some point or another. Big deal! You lose absolutely nothing when you die, aside from perhaps a little self-respect.
If Saga of Ryzom were a different game, perhaps we would all live happy, conflict free lives on Atys. However, it has been designed with conflict in mind. By enabling us to battle, designating PVP zones, and creating a conflict between superpowers, Nevrax has made the world that much richer. If you do not wish to participate in PVP, it's not that big a deal. There are several non-PVP areas where you can dig materials from basic to supreme. Yes, there are more monsters, but that is the price to pay for relative safety. Hone up on your sneaking skills and evade the Kitin patrols.

Re: Regarding Infinity's cessation of PR hostilities
So in furtherance to Spiff's post:
We will be assuming a generally non-aggressive stance in PvP zones. That does not mean we will not kill homins in PvP zones. But if we do kill someone, we will make them aware of why.
With precious few exceptions, we hold no ill will towards AP or ON members. Now of course that opens up the whole "well if you attack one of us, then you attack all of us" can of proverbial worms.
KoS lists do exist for whatever reason and I wouldn't demand that any of OV who have them to erase theirs. PvP is a part of this game like it or not. Ultimately, if you wish to eliminate the risk of being killed in a PvP zone, then stay out of one. But...we will not as guild policy be hunting anyone until such time as the storyline/lore guide us.
I may have only half-answered your question, Keoni, so forgive my terseness. I'm completely happy to continue this thread until all questions are answered as best as possible.

Re: Regarding Infinity's cessation of PR hostilities
I'd like to know where there are supreme mats not in a PvP or FvF zone. I ran a thread on this before but no one could find anywhere outside of Roots or Nexus. There used to be but not for many months.mtsmith wrote: If you do not wish to participate in PVP, it's not that big a deal. Re: Regarding Infinity's cessation of PR hostilities
The community should not dictate how a player or guild plays the game. Everyone has the right to play as they choose. As long as they follow the CoC set forth by SoR.
If you get dropped in PvP zone, dont whine about it in a thread. Remember the persons name, get your fellow guildies and hunt him/her down. Take care of your business.
If you or your guild isnt strong enough, train more or get an alliance with a stronger guild and then hunt them down.
If your guild wont support you because theyre a friendly guild, youre going to have problems digging in a PvP zone.
Some believe they have the right to just harvest a super-node of supreme zun at their leisure. If you can, more power to you. But dont complain about a guild that is looking out for their best interest by acquiring resources.
People need to stop being so sensitive and remember your Kami and Karavan roles.
